As usual, I have gotten to watch all the lightning and hear all the thunder and so far have gotten exactly jack **** in Bastrop. 0.02 so far and the radar is lining up for us to slip right through a nive little gap in the next line. Getting real tired of this bullsh*t.

Hopefully no flooding but the recharge, the lakes, and all of the rivers absolutely needed this. Really excited about helping with grass/ground cover for fawns and also for food!

Dunlap is up quite a bit, with a good sized trash and debris field flowing down the middle. Heard that placid is at capacity.

Yeah, we're near the edge. I think the recharge zone is a mile north/northeast of us. I think that area got some really good rainfall, but not quite what we got. Just south of Medina Lake looks like it got absolutely pounded directly above the recharge zone, though. Rainfall total apps saying 7"+ in a large part of that area. NE side of town looks like really good rainfall just west of 35. A lot of areas above the recharge zone got 4"-5". Parts of the garden ridge area just above the zone got 6"-7". 281 area didn't do quite as well, but still 3"-4" in most places. The bulk of the rain in that area was just south of the recharge zone.

My understanding is that placid dam is close to done. Just reporting what I've heard from the locals.

3.75" in Pleasanton. Not enough, but a blessing none the less.
Today, unfortunately, many Americans have good reason to fear that they will be victimized if they are unable to protect themselves. And today, no less than in 1791, the Second Amendment guarantees their right to do so. - Justice Samuel Alito 2022
