I read on a friend's Facebook page that Mary Grace's parents have asked that people who wish to pay tribute tie a pink ribbon around a tree in her honor this week. He went on to say that he'd pass the photos along to the family.

I think it would be great if we posted pictures on TexAgs for DermDoc to share with his family.

Please post here for all to see.

I broke down when I saw this picture. I so want that to be Wynne, Mary Grace, Linnie Mccown and the others.

Despite my tears, thank you for posting it.

Most waivers aren't worth much more than the paper they are written on, especially when it involves minors.

Best to leave this for another day after more facts about how it actually transpired come out. But I do think it's naive to think this won't end up with lawyers

I think a discussion of the potential for lawsuits should be saved for another time and/or thread.

A bit of happy news…

A friend who knows the Burgess family (from Liberty, PG's brother, CHL daughter, etc) told me today that the family dog, Daisy, was camping with the family, and that she was found alive and has been reunited with the daughter, who is with her grandparents.

I told my mom that it seems like a small thing in the midst of all the loss, but I bet that dog never leaves her side for the rest of its life. seems like that would be such a huge small comfort.

Should a new thread be started for discussions on current search efforts/conditions and number of general population unknown to be missing.

Derm, you and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers as are all those affected by this tragic event. May the Lord comfort you and bring you peace.

My wife has been incredibly upset the last few days - two close friends, one who's already lost a great niece, another whose granddaughter is still missing, plus she's a Mystic alum who was close to Dick and Tweety - and our dog has been abnormally affectionate. Laying in her lap on the couch, in bed, never leaving her side. It's like she can tell my wife is hurting and needs comforting from her. Makes me emotional just typing this out.
You're from down South,
And when you open your mouth,
You always seem to put your foot there.

A little different version than what others have posted.
This is heartbreaking, yet comforting…as I know these sweet little girls are in the arms of Jesus.
May God bless the families of those who were lost and may He bless and protect all the "helpers".

When I first read the text from my friend, I actually burst into tears…thinking of how happy Jenna and Daisy were to see each other, each thinking they had lost everyone.

Dogs are just the absolute best.

I was in HEB in College Station earlier and at each register they have QR codes where you can donate to HEB's relief fund for the Hill Country. The donation amount is added to your grocery bill.

Just FYI for folks looking for a quick way to donate.

When we deployed to wimberley 10 years ago, we found the McCombs family dog downriver 20 ft up in a tree. Alive. I believe that was saving Grace for the survivors.

Just passing this on. Our elementary school requested that we do blue ribbon for Greta as that was her favorite color. They also announced today that she has been found, if that hasn't been stated already.

This song just came up on my feed. May the Lord bring peace beyond understanding. May He bring comfort to those that feel emptiness. May the families find peace, knowing their girls are with Jesus. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Moar tears

There are times like this when I think the Lord is leaving messages behind to comfort those grieving a lost love one, Powerful stuff…

The people in the service department waiting are at an auto dealership in central Florida are wondering what caused the guy scrolling on his phone to suddenly start wiping tears from his face.
