You may want to to back into your corner as I have to question where you've been. I've actually been to multiple large stadiums, a number of which are 90k+. Every SEC stadium except Vanderbilt. Every old Big 12 stadium. Been to Fenway, Yankee stadium, Clemson, Notre Dame, Rose Bowl, and even went to the Big House about 20 years ago, and I could keep going on. TAMU seems to always lead the way in frustration. I suspect more folks would agree with my opinion that yours on this matter.

We had a great time all day. Most fun we've had at a family event.

Beer and food concessions were no problem on 1st deck but my god the soda line was crazy.

The shuttle bus line was unbelievably long so we started to walk to hotel. Asked a rickshaw guy how much it would be to ride from MSC to Northgate for 4 of us, $80. Told him he lost his mind.

One of those guys almost got killed at the intersection of Texas and Holleman yesterday. Riding in the bike lane and ignoring traffic lights is not a good idea.

They are terrible. They disregard every traffic rule and blast some pretty profane lyrics on their sound systems while traveling around. I won't say profane music because rap is not music.

Preach!

We were actually pretty happy with the traffic situation afterwards. West Campus Garage parking spot to my garage near Tower Point in about 25 minutes. Including the walk from our seats on row 36 of 3rd deck, time home was less than 45 minutes total.

The uber lot was a cluster. There were probably 100 people there waiting - the issue seems to be the traffic plan after this event didnt let the ubers into the lot except from welborn going northbound. I saw some requesters drivers tracks - they had them going in circles to try to get to Lot 30 - and then they wanted the passenger to meet the uber on Old Main by the Bell Tower. Does this happen at games?

Tamu really needs to beef up the internet at large events like this, football, etc.

And that is exactly the issue I was trying to understand before driving to pick people up. There was zero pre-announcement of how to get to Lot 30e. I started at Harvey Rd and proceeded to George Bush, hoping I could turn right on Wellborn Rd to get to Lot 30e. Nope. Before I could could get out of traffic, I was forced south on Wellborn Rd in a solid line of brake lights until I finally made it to Southwest Pkwy. I then slowly snaked my way up through the back neighborhoods and pulled into the Aggieland Outfitters parking lot, which quite a few other people figured out. Then messaged my group where I was and waited for them to get there. Once they found me, it was smooth sailing east on George Bush, but the whole lack of communication for how to get to the "official" pickup lot was not great.

The right turn from Bush to Wellborn post-event is closed for every major event. Has been for 10+ years. If you're going to drive for events you should really consider researching the traffic plan beforehand.

Did you drive to/from the 5 stadiums in that bunch with 90k+ capacity? As far as Kyle Field, it never takes me more than 30 minutes to get to Tower Point post game.

Exactly. The same traffic plan was implemented yesterday as is implemented for every football game, soccer game, concert, etc. All lanes of WB Bush turn left (south) at Wellborn. I recommend downloading the Destination Aggieland app and familiarizing yourself with the traffic plan. Aside from minor tweaks (this was not one of them), the plan has not changed in years.

For anyone bashing the traffic flow issues, let me introduce you to Lubbock and Jones-ATT last week for the George Strait concert. People waited hours for ride shares, zero traffic management (or crowd management) effort, and the majority of the 65k people in the stadium got dumped out of a gate about 20 feet from a feeder road. TAMU and its partners do an incredible job getting people in and out if the attendees do their part and plan ahead a little.

We've parked in the same parking lot for every football game for as long as I can remember. Parked in the same one for Bananas. I was home in 10-15 minutes from the time I got in my car.

Well if I tell you that everyone is going to start parking there and I'll have to wait on you to get out

Likely on the North side of campus where there is no traffic.

You don't care so much that you had to come on here and tell everyone about how much you don't care

We were in Round Rock for an STPGA girls golf tourney, and, as much as I don't care for the Banana Ball schtick, so much so I gave my tickets (that were given to me) away, I was glad to see the large turnout and what I hope was a substantial boost to local businesses and hotels. I was also glad to see that everyone seemed to have a great time (sans traffic and concessions apparently), this community needs more stuff like this.

Traffic plans work really well when its the same people using it over and over, like in football. But these fans were not the usual fans and most had never been to Kyle Field before. I think that was a big cause of the slower moving traffic.

It was literally the same traffic control as every major event at Kyle. I got home in the same amount of time as usual post game

There were SOME differences that I wonder if they will keep for football, like the bus from Zach dropping off at the MSC instead of Heldenfels, and not being able to turn left onto Bizzell out of the new lot 47 exit after the game was over.

Parked in lot 60 and was out of the lot and headed south on Wellborn in no time.

The garage by the campus hotel took us a hour to get out of from level 4. We just set still for most of that time. I think the exit was blocked by pedestrian traffic most of the time.

We went to the game and the golden place to park was the Southside Garage. Easy walk to Kyle Field and back. Easy out. We were home easily within 30 minutes of leaving Kyle and we live near Wellborn and Rock Prairie.

You lucked out. It took an hour just to exit that garage after George Strait.

Park 5 minutes away in the neighborhood and be home in 15 minutes. I'd never park in a garage for a big event.
