That Heritage 300 is fantastic. Don't think it was around when I got mine.



Definitely a strong influence. When the rubber broke apart, I replaced it with the Omega NATO.

I don't wear it often but it's really grown on me

Yes, I am at my house so there's no point in setting the watch to tell me two time zones. When I travel inset it appropriately. Idgaf what time it is anywhere else if I am at home.

ETA the rings only come off if I am on a boat. Learned that lesson the hard way.

If you set the GMT to GMT, you'd never need to reset it. Just saying.

As for the ring, I stopped wearing it long ago and never got back in in habit. The harrier has a sliding canopy that presents a major degloving hazard. I didn't want to be the next guy with the callsign "shocker"

yea i just leave the second hour hand at central time and when i travel i set the watch to local time. I used to sometimes cross 5+ timezones in a week regularly, which is why i got the GMT but now i dont travel nearly as much. IDGAF about what time it is in britain anymore. If i was still shipping out, the GMT was great because we took a lot of times in UTC so i never had to think about anything. now any times i take at work are all LT so its not a complication i really need anymore, but i will never sell this thing.
