We went tonight. Food was decent and the kids had fun. Will go back for sure.

As I sat eating my twice baked potato caviar things, I thought to myself, "man, those townhouse peoples have got to be pissed at this clown show." I had no idea about the Chron article linked above at that moment but if I owned one of those townhouses, you'd have to waterboard it out of me that little kids have been flipping me the bird and taunting me. I'll keep a lookout for my youngest on the "the little kids have been being mean to me" leaderboard at TLW.

The governor (equivalent) of Bavaria is coming to Houston Monday to make an announcement. Hopefully it will be that they are opening a Hofbrahaus location!!

I had no idea of the existence of The Saengerhalle. I thought it was just a Lutheran church.

It was. The Sangerbund bought the building a couple of years ago. They have some fun events there (Oktoberfest, Christmas concert, etc.).

What was the announcement?

A bit disappointing... they have signed an agreement to open a Hofbrahaus location in Dallas. Might come to Houston in the future but nothing concrete on that.

Lame. I mean, good for Dallas, but making that announcement in Houston is a tease.

HofbrauHaus in Munich was a lot of fun the first time that I went and I was excited to go the one on Vegas soon after that had recently opened. It was exactly as you'd expect the Vegas version to be and was disappointing.

Augustiner-Keller is better IMO.

Augustiner-Keller was definitely better. I don't think they export, or at least I've not been able to find, which is a bummer.
