For sure. The lack of freezing rain and ice will definitely help with power and travel.
I still wouldn't be shocked to see more bridges ice over, though. Especially if we don't get much sun today, don't really see them getting much of a chance of drying out.

I need to entertain an exchange student today and tomorrow. Any ideas on attractions that are open in town or towards Galveston? They already have plans to go to NASA and Meow Wolf later in the week. HMNS, MFAH, and the zoo are closed today.

Down south here… I'll bet Main Event is open today or The Game Preserve. You could also go to Great Wolf Lodge and do the indoor water park and game room. You could also go to Bass Pro in Pearland. I'll bet they've never seen anything like that.

We put our Tanooki Mario in a pot of water and left him on the balcony to freeze him like Han Solo in carbonite and this morning he's still just swimming, no popsicle. What a let down.

There was a 20 car pileup in Llano. Someone should really tell people that the roads are icey and not to go out on them.

Anybody driven today from cypress area to Iah, or in reverse? Any issues? Could stay on side streets if necessary, but trying to avoid that if roads are generally ok.

Haven't driven it, but saw on the news that 290 telge area had ice earlier and multiple accidents.
It rained really hard out 290 way yesterday. i live near Fry and 290 and I can see ice on the street, so buyer beware

Just made this drive and had zero issues. Took 290 from Telge to the Beltway. Probably my quickest trip to IAH from here!
