We already told staff they can WFH Monday. I was in the minority that we should see how things go over the next 48hrs before making that call.

In 2021 COH had diesel generators at the water plants and the diesel solidified so the generators didn't work. I guess people are afraid of it happening again.

Made my grocery run this morning to the local HEB. Needed apples for the kiddo next week. Nearly all were gone. They only had those small ones in the plastic bags left. Dafuq? What's so special about apples?

I didn't need them, but the tomatoes were pretty much sold out too. Seriously?

Bread and TP were hit pretty hard, but still had our usual.

Didn't need water, but seemed a decent supply.

They were out of Dr Pepper Zero. That one hurt. My addiction needs to be fed.

Thankfully, it wasn't too crowded when I got there, but people were really starting to pile in when I was leaving.

Good grief. It's a few days of cold and sitting at home. Not the end of the world.

Optimism: Sunny and 10+ mph winds on Monday helps get the roads dry (plus a brief moment above freezing)

New Caney ISD is the only one I can find that hasn't announced yet and they are usually pretty quick to.

99 Ranch was totally normal yesterday too.

Our principal told us the superintendents were planning to meet Sunday at 2.

It looks like they all met early. The last few years, it's very rare for just one to close, unless it's an isolated issue. If you know there's a major event anticipated and one district calls it, the rest aren't far behind.
