The Telluride is getting a redesign next year so it's current generation is a bit old. The Hyundai Palisade is based on the same platform as the Telluride and the 2026 redesign is arriving at dealers now. You might want to look at that as it will have all the updated tech the Telluride will be getting next year.
We bought a 2026 Kia Carnival 3 weeks ago and I shopped around at dealerships in the Houston area. My experience with those:
Beck and Masten - Only Kia dealership that the salesman really pressured us. Kept trying to convince us one of the vehicles they had on the lot was good enough even though it didn't have a couple of the options we wanted. That said they were the only Kia Dealership we went to that doesn't have dealer add ons and their initial price offer was the best of any we got. I would go there if they had the vehicle in stock I wanted.
Shottenkirk - Had a surprisingly large number of 2026 Carnivals in stock for a dealership of it's size. Salesman was low pressure to the point of almost not caring. Sales manager was really nice and didn't seem scummy like some of the other brand dealerships we went to. They had a vehicle close to what we wanted but their initial offer was close to MSRP plus $2k in dealer added crap.
Gay Family - They had the exact vehicle we wanted. The $2k in dealer options they took off and a few thousand off of MSRP without much haggling. They were very nice and easy to work with. All the paperwork was ready when we got there, fast process, would buy from again.
Happy Family - Only interacted with over the phone/e-mail. They also had the exact vehicle we wanted. Also $2k in dealer options added. Their initial offer was close to MSRP. They were also further away than Gay Family so that's why we didn't go with them.
We didn't go to Joe Myers Kia due to ours bad experiences at Joe Myers Toyota. We went to Joe Myers Toyota 10 years ago, they took our keys to value our trade in and held us hostage for over an hour while pressuring us to make a sale. We were ready to leave and they kept saying they were still looking at our trade in and would get the car back soon. It wasn't until after my wife started crying and I started yelling that they were able to get our car back to us.
Fast forward to 3 weeks ago, Joe Myers is about the only dealership that had multiple Sienna Platinum's in stock. That's because they're charging $6.7k over MSRP with a huge amount of BS added on. The manager showed me the pricing, I said I didn't have any interest in any of the add ons. He came back with his next offer that had the $6,700 changed to $0 but none of the other line items changed other than taxes. The total price only dropped by $2k. I was double checking the math in my head, pulled out my phone to use the calculator, he jerked back his offer sheet. Refused to let me take a picture or get a copy. Straight up lied to me on the price, would not do business with them.
