A few years ago, there was a big scare in the horse industry that we needed to get our CDLs to haul our horses. One of the associations that I am a member of decided to have a Q&A with a Texas DPS officer who was high up in commercial vehicle enforcement. He told us that if you were not hauling horses for profit, then the 26k GVWR didn't matter and you were treated like an RV. If you were hauling horses for profit (like a horse trainer charging a customer to haul their horse to a show) then you needed to have your CDL.

Bingo. Recreation vs commercial.

Theres 80yr old men driving 40' diesel motor homes pulling a raptor behind it.

Need a special license? NOPE.

Does no one in central Texas come off msrp on an 801 raptor? They are treating it like some rare commodity.

I've spoken with about 6 different dealers. With the new 26s rolling in, everyone is sticker or 5k markup. It's crazy.

F150 inventory has gotten light. The fire at the aluminum plant that supplies Ford finally caught up to them and the issue won't go away quick. Production is going to start back over this coming summer at that plant from wha I've read.

Production numbers are back for January. They produced 42k+ units. Up from 31K in December and 30K in November. My understanding is that Novelis actually was working with other suppliers to shore up supply chain.

The super duty is still struggling but Ford seems to be focusing on half to buyers first, which makes sense.

During 2017 I made the mistake of test driving a Raptor for fun. Less than 5 minutes going over potholes and train tracks I knew I was buying it. That truck gave me an everlasting appreciation for what a great suspension feels like.

Real men drive Chevy Equinox loaners while their Silverado gets a replacement engine at the dealership!
