Anybody tried this or have any thoughts? I'm reluctant to just give it a try and "see how I feel"

Which provider is the best?

Any input is appreciated.

It's my understanding that it helps with lowering inflammation and improving cognitive function and cell energy.

That sounds like a snake oil description if I've ever heard one.

But I could be wrong.

Let me preface this by saying that I've never experimented with it. That said, I would maximize my lifestyle (for free) before taking this.

  • Eliminate alcohol and processed foods
  • Get deep sleep
  • Get morning sunlight
  • Exercise (strength and cardio)
  • Creatine
  • Time-restricted eating/IF
  • Hot/Cold exposure
  • Daily learning or skill practice
  • Daily movement (not just workouts)
  • Focused work blocks/unplug
  • Walking after meals
  • De-stress (gratitude, journal, meditate, etc.)

I think that it was used in one MASH episode to turn a bowling champion's urine blue and encourage him to change his bowling style so the 4077 could win.

I'd be very suspicious of any sudden pronouncements without evidence of any miracle cures it might have.

I mixed it into some cupcakes and fed them to people at my office about a decade ago. Our pee was Windex blue for about 2 days after. That's all I have to contribute to this conversation.

I wouldn't even dream of doing that. If someone was allergic to it or had other complications, you could have faced serious lawsuits and/or gone to jail.

This is a very good list to try.

I would add eliminate seed oils as much as possible, which is just about the same as processed foods. I know Lax is not as big a fan of that as I am but I've noticed a big difference in labs and allergic manifestations personally and professionally by doing so. I used to get exercise induced urticaria and had recently developed bronchospasm with exercise that all poofed when I did this.

I do just about everything else he listed except hot/cold exposure unless you count pool at mid 80s and hot tub at 103!

And I still enjoy a few drinks now & again, as well as bar food a few times a month.

I use it several times a week. It gives a nice mental and mood boost. I recommend giving it a try. Don't use it with ssris or any other serotonin boosting substance.

Thanks for the input everyone. Think I'll avoid it for now as I am on an SSRI and focus on the more natural recommendations.

Using this forum as part of due diligence because, as they say, "TexAgs knows stuff!"

Excess consumption of calories/lack of activity is the problem, not seed oils. As stated in the video the average American eats 3500 calories a day. If seed oils were a significant contributor Japan would be much fatter.

3500 cals wow that is a lot!

The seed oil problem is not just calories in/out though, it is free radical creation which damages some basic biochemical structures of your lipid cycle. But like LAX says it is easy to get deep in the weeds on this topic.

I've just seen in my personal and professional life many cases of significant improvement in inflammatory conditions (atopic derm, asthma, etc) with cutting the seed oils.

ETA: if you want the details just ask Grok or whatever AI about PUFA and where they come from and what they do with your lipid cycle. Particularly Omega 6 PUFA/linoleic acid

I've seen similar anecdotal benefits since making some changes to limit PUFA consumption. FWIW

Those changes, plus trying to manage/improve insulin sensitivity via things like IF and processed sugar reduction, have been a game changer.

Edit: I'm reading "Why We Get Sick" by Benjamin Bikman if anyone's interested in the connection between insulin sensitivity and chronic disease.
