correct

many are the same jerkoffs who said Kyler M would never amount to anything because of his size, and they still have no intellectual self awareness.

-10 pts for you correcting grammar of an engineer.

-100 for anyone who considers the opinion of an engineer when talking about football.

Everyone wanted Johnny to put on some weight and arguably it hurt him more than helped. Reed seems durable. Extra size isn't everything.

The type of weight Johnny put on and his work ethic (or lack thereof) is what hurt him more than helped.

Fair point…but the point still stands. The goal is durability. Weight isn't the be all end all. Been around plenty of athletes Reeds size built wiring, strong, but never could add weight…yet were durable as hell. Being strong and flexibility are a much bigger factor than size in durability.

agree. Avoiding unnecessary hits, protecting yourself when you do take a hit, and good athletic ability/flexibility + just being lucky in the gene pool is all much more important than adding weight to avoid potential injury.

Reed said he's at 182, looking to play at 187. We all wanted to see him get significantly bigger this offseason and it doesn't look like that happened. Should this be a real concern?

I don't think it's a concern. We probably all wish he was 220 and kept the same speed and elusiveness but that's not his body type. Think Reggie McNeal. He couldn't gain weight either. Some genetics just don't allow for it. I think what he should be focused on is not taking unnecessary hits. Focus on picking up the sticks and getting down. I'm much more interested in his arm strength and accuracy than his weight.

So, unlike Sydney Sweeney, Reed doesn't have good jeans.

Actually, it's quite important anywhere you communicate via the written or spoken word.

I'm more concerned that he didn't do ANY private training/throwing sessions over summer.

One thing I loved about JFF was after his Heisman year he trained with George Whitfield to get better as a QB.

Jayden Daniels was around 180 his first couple of years.

Reed should be fine if he, like just about every QB, doesn't take on tacklers.

**** I do. Johnny had better stats his second year and that's with every defense prepared for him.

But that's your take from this?

Geez, that's super disappointing. You'd think he would've been working on his throwing, hitting the weight room, running, watching film of opponents' defenses and coverages, etc. -- working his ass off to improve.
