Not going to rank 10.

If I was doing a draft on who I wanted to be my QB, the top 3 would be as follows.

JFF
Reggie
Tanny

And Kingsberry my OC.

Reggie would be my number 2 in any normal world but he got ruined by Fran. Mond's all SEC 9-1 year (which would have been 11-1 in a normal season) can't be discounted imo. He made so many clutch throws to keep drives alive.

I'm ranking who I think are the three best QBs. Who I would want to be QB if I was their coach. I'm able to see through such issues as coaches.

As I pointed out. I also would want Kingsberry as my OC. I think he would kick ass with any of the three QBs I picked. Reggie's game reminds me of Jayden Daniel's.

I would add Kyler but I rule him out bc it's clear he never wanted to be here and I like the other 3 against SEC defenses.

I commend Mond for being smart and staying on the field. I just like the other three a lot more and with an OC that would work with their talent, just think those three are at the top. Mond was good at not losing games but these three with the proper system would be the best at winning games.

good discussion here

Johnny is obviously #1

Mond is #2 -- great victory resume with 3 bowl wins; 2 wins vs. LSU; 2 wins vs. Florida; 4 wins vs. Arkansas; 1 win vs. Tennessee; And he got most of those wins without NFL WR's. Only had Kirk for 2017.

McGee is #3 -- edges out Reggie because McGee beat the longhorns twice in upset fashion. Those wins carry a lot of weight -- especially with the sips back on the schedule. McGee also won a forgotten game at Nebraska in 2007 with 35 carries. Led last minute comeback wins on the road in 2006 vs. KU and OSU

Reggie is #4 -- second most talented after JF. Had a phenomenal junior season in 2004. Great wins at Kyle over KSU, CU, and Tech. Also had the 2002 win over #1 OU. Really close between McGee and Reggie

Tannehill is #5 -- long NFL career, but the 4th quarter collapses in 2011 drop him to fifth. What could have been without several killer interceptions. Had 2 great wins over RGIII and a nice win in Lubbock. Plus the OU win in 2010. He played with exceptional talent (Cyrus, CMike, Fuller, Swope, Joeckel, Matthews) which makes 2011 so disappointing

regarding Trevor...

his 4-pack of wins to begin the 2016 season vs. UCLA, Auburn, Arkansas, and Tennessee were awesome

very exciting wins in which Trevor made big plays in the 2nd half / 4th quarter / overtime to win

probably right there at #6 or #7 on the list

along those lines...

things fell apart for Kyle Allen and the Ags midway thru the 2015 season, but he did string together some nice wins before then

upset win at #3 Auburn
Liberty Bowl vs. West Virginia
2015 opener vs. Arizona State at Reliant
2015 overtime thriller vs. Arkansas
2015 win over State and Dak Prescott at Kyle

he's in the top 10 on the list

Manziel, Reggie, Tannehill, Mond, McGee, the rest.

This rating is for college only. Tannehill had a far better overall career than any of the others, despite being drafted by the Dolphins whose OL couldn't block an old lady.

Maybe I was unfair to Reggie.

Let me say that I was one of the guys wearing a #16 "Let Him Play" t shirt after we signed him.

Seeing Mark Farris get yanked and Reggie put into a game was one of the best moments of my student-life.

His OU win was top notch.

I think I rate him low because he set the expectations so HIGH based on his early games and all the excitement.

But it never really materialized and if memory serves his SR year was his worst season and along the way, etched into my memory, were some truly horrible games. (Iowa State, Tech numerous times, 77-0 l…)

He, for sure, was up a lot higher on raw talent and perhaps could have been great with a better coach and system.

11. (tie) others

This list makes sense I would probably put Knight lower because he played so little here.

Dustin Long above Reggie? You're insane.

Reggie McNeil had a huge ego and attitude problem, he thought he knew more that the coaches. He had all the talent in the world, he could had been great. He was not coachable!

Brainfart - forgot about Pullig, definitely top ten, maybe above Jerrod Johnson. Also, I would agree to making Mond #3 and moving Reggie to #4. As someone said, It's like comparing apples, oranges, and bananas. They all played great and most were good Aggies. FWIW, I originally had Mond, McNeal, and Tannehill tied for third.

I know you only went back 20yrs, I would argue this guy was the most successful as a starter.

Corey Pullig, who played quarterback for Texas A&M from 1992 to 1995, has the most wins as a starting quarterback in school history, with a record of 33-6-1
