I just don't see how texas as #1. Maybe top 5.

I am confident we will be much better and be in the CFP. The CFP is the only thing that matters. My prediction for the teams to make the CFP

texas, GA, LSU, A&M. If there is a 5th, I would put in S. Carolina. I have zero faith in Deboer.

Probably because they were the only SEC team to make it to the semifinals last year. This combined with the belief that Arch Manning will be an improvement over Ewers. Which honestly seems plausible at this point.

So, 3 of our 4 regular season losses from last year start at 1, 5 and 13. The Auburn loss last year was the only bad one. I was always concerned with that game bc it was easy to see our team had tunnel vision on the sips. We were not ready to play that one.

I know everyone one here that pays attention already knows this one, but that list shows just how bad the schedules between OU and sips their first two years were biased.

Sips get three ranked SEC teams OU gets five.

21 is higher than we've finished in all of the past 4 seasons. So that would be an improvement.

I know we do what we do but objectively we have a top 5 talent level and even with doubt, a top 10 team.

Temper that and rank us with caution in the 11-15 area. 21 is a joke.

Hopefully 9th in SEC pisses our players off. It should. I honestly think we are much better than 9th.

Considering roster losses how are South Carolina. Ole Miss. Tennessee, and Florida ranked above us?

This is some great bulletin board material for Elko, especially since it is Coaches poll.

Games at Arkansas and at mizzou are going to be huge: those are the two sec road games you'd think we have the best shot at stealing

Because coaches care so much about ratings? Why not make Ohio St #1 and Texas #2?

when your 21 your not a huge disappointment if you don't win big but if your number 1 you are. i think we surprise this year and texas disappoints

I agree, tu wouldn't be my top team. But they're an excellent team and the earlier the poll, the less it means anyway

It's contingent on Manning being a good QB. Most people believe he is/will be….and if he is, I can't really disagree. In 3 years they have amassed as much talent as Georgia and Alabama. If Manning is just slightly above average, they're a championship contender for sure, unfortunately.

I am not surprised that we are ranked 21st and 9th in the SEC. An SEC schedule is a grinder for most teams, and I am glad we only play 4 of the teams ahead of us and 2 of them at home. Hopefully, we can finish ranked for the first time since 2020.

I'm not worried about either of those games bc we will show up ready to play. We were not ready Vs Auburn last year bc everyone was looking ahead to the sips the next week.

It took me seeing the sips at #1 to know that this list is silly. Ohio State should be #1 and sips #2. Sips have done nothing to deserve the top ranking. South Carolina that high? I don't see it. They lost a lot.

Why is Ohio state ranked so high? Look what happened to Michigan the year before. I think they lost a ton of players. It'll be interesting to see to see how far that loser falls

Replacing Ewers with Arch.
Replacing Kelvin Banks, Jake Majors, Hayden Connner, & Cam Williams as starting OL.
Already lost Andre Cojoe - was competing for starting RT this year.
Replacing Matthew Golden, Isaiah Bond, Silas Bolden, Johntay Cook, Jayden Blue, and Gunnar Helm - that is 6 of their top 10 receivers.

Not even sure what they're replacing on defense.

But sure - preseason #1.
