Moffit has seemingly had a big impact. The whole coaching staff has kinda been awesome this yr in terms of particularly 2nd half adjustments.

He has been a tremendous addition to Elko's staff.
Goes to show Elko knows who he needs on his staff to get the job done.
Excellent hire.
Hope he stays for a long time.

There's a reason we look and play like LSU used to. And there's one common denominator b/w 3 national championship winning coaches at LSU. The guy that BK fired immediately. Scott Woodward crawled so BK could run.

We need to have a statue of him erected next to the statue of E. King Gill. With the exception of LeVeon, who seems a little fragile, our injury list each week is almost non existent and by this time the last few years we would have been on our second or third qb.

It is to be expected that the next LSU HC will have bringing Moffitt back as a condition of employment. We need to get Tommy Moffitt locked in ASAP!

Big pay raise and a big buyout on leaving to go to another SEC team.

Do whatever it takes to ensure he likes College Station!

Was he just pissed at Kelly or did he feel betrayed by the school too?

Moffitt was running a private business after being let go by lsu and before Elko pursued him.
Hopefully there is some loyalty to Elko.
I don't know if other schools did not pursue him or if he didn't want to leave Baton Rouge.
But I am glad he came to A&M.

I remember him saying that A&M would've been one of the only calls he would take. Proximity might have played a small role.

all i know is our defensive players look like LSU defensive players from previous decades. they are lean and fast and fly to the ball like a bunch of killer bees. it's an attitude but it is also a body style type. modfitt has done one hell of a job.

I believe he kept his house in the country club neighborhood in Baton Rouge. Still has family and lots of friends there. I'm sure he doesn't hold anything personally against the school, just Brian Kelly

LSU's T-Bob said on a podcast last week that when Ogeron was fired that Saban wanted to hire Moffit to Bama.

To convince Moffit from taking that job, Woodward promised him that Moffit would still have a job with the new LSU coach.

Then they hired Kelly and Kelly fired him.

Moffit's ill will extends beyond Kelly. Seems unlikely he would go back there if Woodward was still the AD and who knows if he also felt betrayed by some key boosters.

Word is Woodward is next on the chopping block after they hire a new president here in the next few weeks. It will be a brand new AD and Coach at LSU here soon.

With that said, LSU alumni (esp past players) are putting extreme pressure on LSU AD to get Moffitt back w whomever the next coach is (more important to them than even the next HC).

With BK gone, think we'll have issues holding onto Moffitt if scenario plays out over there as he has deep LSU roots, family and friends there.

Tommy Moffitt has been a tremendous asset to Mike Elko's coaching staff, playing an instrumental role in our 8-0 (5-0 SEC) start, including 3-0 (2-0 SEC) in road games. I hope Elko can retain Moffitt for the long haul.
