Confirming Sling one day pass is showing Ags on ESPN 3 and that the subscription includes ESPN 3 access.

It will not work. You will be able to view news/weather on your local affiliate.
We just home from dinner. I logged onto kvue in Austin and mirrored/streamed the live Liberty Hill vs. Bastrop football game. Now they (kvue) bills this live telecast as KVUE+ (emphasis on the '+'). So I'm not sure if that differs from the 'non-+'/normal telecast. Remains to be seen.
Trust me. They will not be showing the A&M/Mizzou game tomorrow on the local affiliate website.

So back in town from a work trip... Loking at options for greedy mouse programming vs YTTV... trying a free trial with FUBO.
FUBO App isn't supported on Pre2018 LG. My bedroom TV is a 2017. So as a full replacement for YTTV it'll require a Roku or other device plugged into an HDMI port.
Oh! AND they slap you with a few they don't publish so the after trial price is higher than the published price. ALSO the monthly included vs quarterly included channels show to be different so they really want to fear you into quarterly billing.

Guys, do the damn math.
Buy a $20 digital antenna and/or get a $5 Sling Day Pass.
Problem solved.

Just want to add that the cheap $20 indoor antennas on Amazon are garbage IMO and if you're in the suburbs they're unlikely to provide a reliable signal. An outdoor antenna costs a little more $40-$100 but you will get a reliable signal and a crisp picture.

OH IT GETS BETTER. I'm stuck at work today so I went ahead and made the Fubo switch which cost me an extra $30/month vs YTTV. I get done walking the job and sit down to watch some Gameday and catch up on paperwork. Fubo is telling me I have to unplug my desktop monitor from my laptop to be able to stream.
The only time I want to hear about rat poison on this board again is if its getting force-fed to Disney execs.

I've DONE the math.
I used YTTV because there is still some programming on "traditional" cable channels that I enjoy watching. I do NOT have Netflix, Hulu, Paramount, etc. Yes, I cut the so-called cord when I ditched Uverse (and their associated table top cable box. YTTV gave me the traditional channels and programming that I wanted at a fraction of the cost and without the 200+ garbage filler channels of a traditional provider.
Nothing that you propose by "doing the math" works for me.
I'm glad that's a solution for you. It's not for me and plenty of others here.
Same thing this week, the ABC game is avaliable for me via the ESPN app. I bought the day pass anyway just for the other games, but there's no way I'm the only person who this is working forTamuco99 said:That's definitely NOT what happened...after Gameday ended I clicked on the Vandy game and the "Watch Live" option was there. Any non-ABC game just showed "Log in with Provider". Admittedly, when I switched back to the other televised games and came back to the ESPN app it would sometimes say "Log In", but I would just close and reopen and Watch Live would appear again.MagnumLoad said:YouBet said:Tamuco99 said:That's not true, at least not in my case. This doesn't work for people on YTTV. You have to have a sub through your TV provider to get ABC.Quote:
You'll still need to sign in with your subscription details to access everything, though.
As much as we want there to be, there are no loopholes here unless you are going the illegal pirated route.
Guessing that was a glitch of some sort then. You lucked out!
No, he was just lucky to be still logged in. They kick you off periodically so you have to log back in. Then if you have to log back in and YTTV is your provider your screwed.
Not sure if it was a glitch or not, but we'll find out Saturday.

Have the tech game using the espn app on right now, so can confirm. Im hoping that this means that the bama game will be on there later too, so I can watch that one after coming back from the Aggie watch party.

You should be inside a free trial. If they're going to make it that complicated cut it off when the trial ends.

My initial impression of Sling - channel switching is the fastest I've experienced on any platform. Almost immediate with no lag. So that's good.
