I would agree prior to NIL but ole miss has spent a lot of money on players recently. Ole Miss has plenty of money. Prior to NiL, I would say yes Florida is well ahead

Different sports, but I know someone who wasn't coaching to win the game because he was too busy thinking about his next job.

That sucks for ole miss, if true

What does Florida have that ole miss doesn't?
A solid history, name brand recognition, big donors. UF is easily a step up from Ole Miss and that's not a stretch to say.

Sure about that? Prior to Spurrier coming (circa 1990), UF was an also-ran. They had like 3 9+ win seasons in their history. They had a good run with Spurrier and Meyer, but it has been shaky without those two.
Prior to 1990, Florida was even with Cal, Duke, and North Texas in winning %. Teams like Syracuse, West Virginia, Arizona, Hawaii, and Stanford were ahead of them -- but hardly elite. Taking away Spurrier and Meyer, you have a school that is essentially equal to Baylor in winning percentage.
I don't think it is a step up. Not if Ole Miss really wants to compete, and I think they do.

These schools looking for coaches have to make moves soon, the transfer portal window and signing period wait for no one and if you are late to the game could set a program back significantly!!! Not sure if true but if it was it would not surprise me.

News is swirling everywhere about Kiffin and UF talks becoming true. Gonna happen pretty soon (maybe next week). Brauny indicated the same thing. This is a UF insider. He gone?BREAKING NEWS🚨: DONE DEAL.

Lane Kiffin is the next head coach at the University of Florida 🐊
He is NOT expected to coach Ole Miss if they happen to make the playoffs. #NewEra 🐊🏆
I'm not buying this. Sounds phony.

Yes I am sure Florida has a better history than Ole Miss.
more Heismans, more conference championships, more national championships. Better all time win percentage.
Unless you want to delete the last 35 years…

I meant to say OM only has Clanga as a rival. And its hardly a high profile game when compared to UF's historical rivals. (UGA, FSU, Miami). Thats not even including the classiccs they've had with Auburn, Tennesse, and LSU the past 35 years or so.
UF dwarfs OM in just about anything cfb related.

Florida-Miami isn't really a rivalry. They don't play annually, and have only played 9 times since '87, with two of those being bowl games. Florida St-Miami is a big rivalry. Florida's big rivals are Georgia, Tennessee, Florida St, in that order, at least according to my Gator family.
