LAFC trying to make a move for Son.

Smart in that market - huge SK fanbase there. I love him but he's 33 so it's not devastating.

A bit of a shocker on Forest inking a new deal but glad it's at least over. Hopefully this frees us up to make some moves.

Marinakis shouldn't be anywhere near a football club.

Rodrygo and Palhinha links lately. Apparently Palhinha has been kinda bad at Bayern. Not sure what to make of Rodrygo rumors.

Probably going to be a loan for Palhinha.

Sad to see him go, but excited I might get to see him play.

I have seen him at White Hart and the new stadium but will surely go see him if he comes to the US. A true Spurs legend.

Speculation that he might be paid more than 8.7 million in MLS (presumably for multiple seasons, otherwise why would he leave). I'm surprised that's enough given what the Saudis throw around in sports washing in golf and soccer.

Quote:

Los Angeles FC are in advanced talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a deal in the ballpark of $20 million (15 million) to sign Son Heung-min . . .

Spurs are hoping for $27 million (20 million), but that is a drop in price from their original ask of around $40 million (30 million) quoted to Saudi clubs.
. . .
LAFC sent a delegation out to South Korea where Son is expected to play his final Spurs game against Newcastle United on August 3, a fixture in which he is contractually obligated to play as part of a commercial agreement.

A deal could be concluded quickly after August 3, sources say.
. . .
LAFC are hoping to agree a fee with Spurs of around $20 million, slightly below the MLS record $22 million plus add-ons package Atlanta United paid to Middlesbrough for striker Emmanuel Latte Lath this winter.

Son also had an offer from Saudi Arabia but is prioritising Los Angeles after being sold on the football project. It is also understood LA's thriving South Korean community was a factor in his thinking.

Son is set to become one of the best paid players in MLS, potentially surpassing the $8.7m salary paid to current third-higher earner Sergio Busquets.

Maddison stretchered off in the friendly this morning with a knee injury. Guy can't catch a break

I didn't even realize he actually extended his deal with Forrest. Thought we were still waiting that out.
