Just have to somehow finish above the drop zone. And then hopefully this is a huge wake up. The injuries have been crazy but still no reason to be going down.

I doubt they'll consider it a wake up call. Even the players have been saying that all these past few seasons, after a bad loss. How many beat downs will it take to truly change their approach? Maybe the embarrassment of a relegation?

de Zerbi being a "top target" tells me they are still operating in the mindset of "do more with less resources." Operate like a small club while having the resources of a big club.

I found this tidbit from the article interesting: " Tottenham sporting director Johan Lange added: 'Roberto was our number one target for the summer and we are very pleased to be able to bring him in now.'" So a homecoming for Poch after the WC was never in the cards.

A bunch of them look like they are seeking an exit from the club rather than fight for it.

That was rough, but I honestly didn't expect to get anything from that game. Sunderland has been playing well at home for the majority of the season. Looks like we'll be without Romero the remainder of the season.

Only 5 seasons were not top 6 in EPL since 2005 and that included a 7,8,8. Only twice outside the top 10.

I haven't watched nearly as much the last couple of years as I used to but wild that they could get relegated.

There was about an 8 min stretch where they had Brighton completely on their heels, scored once, nearly scored another. Most fun I've had watching them in a long time...then they gave up the equalizer right before halftime
