The first 40 minutes that you missed was largely Guatemala doing exactly what Canada did in the second half when Canada finally let it sink in that the ref didn't care. He didn't stop either one, but had he just shown a yellow or two to Guatemala early, we would have had a real game and not a 90 minute prison brawl. And likely the better team would have won by 2 or 3 goals. The way this was called helped determine the outcome.
Just an awful game all around, even if it potentially helps the US.

I watched Canada v El Salvador before this and some of Canada v CRC and I just don't like the way they feign contact over and over and over now. They're getting good at fooling CONCACAF refs but more talented than other concacaf teams and I'm really glad USA won't have to deal with them in this tournament.
