Some of you need to learn to just hit the reply button instead of the quote reply button.

Don't need seeing monologues over and over.

And you especially don't need to quote reply if the post you are replying to is right above your response.

yes you do bc when you show someone how Stoopid they are they edit it

now you should know this

Why? Is the internet running out of bandwidth again??? Is there a shortage in storage?

To say that we haven't achieved much as a program is a little disingenuous. We've won the SEC tournament 3 times and have been to the final at least 4 times off hand that I know of. Thats just the SEC as well. Don't let the last 4ish years jade you, our program has notoriety but obviously recruits see the current state and it's pretty bleak. We need someone to reinvigorate the program and right the ship.

If you look at the program , and what G would always say in interviews, Taylor was actually the coach that recruited all the west coast players. I think it will be a fresh start regardless, but that would be the pipeline person

I agree. Seth is an elite recruiter and the driver behind the West Coast pipeline. Keeping Seth, Alyssa, and Tim should be priority No. 1 it preserves continuity for the current roster and for the '26'27 classes already lined up. With Ange gone, Texas has lost its North Texas connection, which shifts the landscape.

The strategy becomes simple: maintain the SoCal foothold and win North Texas. Seth and Tim can do both, and Seth was the one who brought Tim into the program in the first place. They're a perfect cultural fit for A&M as well.

I don't know a lot about our current recruiting but it seemed like we were not up to par with any of our sec brethren. Do we really want to keep our "recruiters"?

Granted it to was Polly a really hard sell with the program in decline, lame **** coach, and running off players that were now having success at other programs

Our 2026 class is ranked #10 in the nation. Seth put together a great class especially given the circumstances

Also some of the past classes have been solid it was just keeping the girls here once they got here.

Yes. And she turned it down.
Which seems like a weird decision for both parties.

We aren't going to be in a position where we offer someone a job that we just hope they accept. This isn't blind dating. It isn't how this works. You are going to be deep down a road with facility and NIL commitments and know someone is your coach before a job is offerred.

Someone may not talk to you if they don't want the job or don't think they will get the job. They may pull their name out of consideration.

What do we know about the Tech Coach, Tom Stone? I'm reading rumors elsewhere.

Resume doesn't look great considering 18 years there

I'm more curious what the soccer folks on here who know the game, know recruiting, know the play style think about him. It's easy to knee jerk with the Oh, he hasn't done much at Tech feedback. Best I can tell this is going to be a Bucky McMillan type hire.

How would it be a Bucky type hire? He's been at tech 18 years. You might say it could be more like Morrison hire since it looks like this, guy has some involvement with U18 soccer

I think you're right on the Bucky type hire which is why a 20 yr head coach with limited success isn't gonna be the move, imo.

You are correct. That was a poor analogy.

Bell & TCU is playing Vanderbilt tonight. Bell has four ex Aggie recruits on his team and vandy has two. So 6 former G recruits trying to help other teams get to the Great Eight. Too bad G couldn't coach them up here in Aggieland.

By the time they left, G had created an environment as toxic as a superfund site.

Edit for grammar.

There is absolutely nothing in Stone's resume or style of play or recruiting history to suggest he would be likely to return Aggie soccer to national prominence.

Tom Stone is a crazy *******. He's a nightmare for referees, but his players seem to love him. He seems to recruit very well to a place like Lubbock and he tends to get players from NTX, Colorado, and Canada. His best teams had Canadian NT players on them. The top of his roster is usually really good but the middle and depth fluctuates alot.

Style of play is very attacking. They like to turn the ball over in the middle and get running forward very quickly. So the attack tends to be his best players. Defense isn't always great so they can keep players behind the ball and get it to the 1 good midfielder who then gets it to the 1 good forward. GK tends to be a stronger position always, but I'm not sure about recently.

On the sidelines, there's alot of shouting and demanding and crazy antics that don't impress me as a head coach. It's more football coach than soccer manager vibes. Colby Hale must've learned some of his sideline acting from Tom Stone, if you know what I mean. But they love it at Tech. Not sure how it'll play at A&M though.

He's got a decent coaching tree though. ETAMU, UTEP, and TWU head coaches all coached under Stone. FC Dallas main ECNL girls coach did as well. Aaron Gordon was head coach at Miss St for a while too after being an assistant in Lubbock.

If he was the choice, he'd already be hired. My guess is he's interested, and maybe we are, but there are higher options like Bell that we are waiting for.

Just my $.02
peace....jessexy

Is the constant belittling of guys on Premium really necessary. There is some good discussion going on here.

We just don't need every post on this thread referring to tcu or Vanderbilt to rehash the number of players that left every time. We know it and the coach is no longer the head coach we can hand good conversation without that having to be the crux.

Not,sure now why he'd leave unless we just throw ton of money at him. Which I don't see happening.
