Michelle Lenard would be a solid hire. However, only concern is this seasons is the 1st competitive year she's had at Baylor.
Here's another name from non P4....Keeley Hagen from Colorado St.....former asst at TU
If G is gone, are we really not going after an elite, proven coach? The camp money is significant and I assume the school is fine with that money going to the coaches. The camps also don't seem to require that much from the head coach (assistants, outside coaches and players do the work). Lenard has had exactly one good D1 year (this one), that includes a tie against us and a 0-3 loss to TCU. Higg isn't a proven head coach and you can't even say he is a young up-and-coming assistant. Someone mentioned the Pitt coach and he just went 5-10-2 in his 8th season there. The Colorado State coach just lost to Fresno State and Boise in the last month. All of this seems pretty underwhelming. I'll take Tim Strader over the other names that are being thrown out there.
We need to recruit elite, national team level attacking players. And I don't care at all which state they come from. Whoever we hire, it needs to be clear that the expectation is that we are an elite program and that starts with recruiting. If we are fully funded from a scholarship perspective, recruiting should be easy with our facilities. Go get some elite transfers immediately and in the upcoming recruiting classes.
