The Don weighs in
What list of players (regardless of them realistically being available) would you even consider trading #2 for? Given our current roster, off the top of my head: SGA, Ant, Luka, Tatum before he got injured, Mobley, Banchero. And all of those guys would take pretty much all of our resources to get. I just don't think there's a deal out there that will be good enough for us to trade away #2.
The problem is the long term salary implications of everything. I want a Godfather offer to move down to 3 and have it contingent on another offer because I am not big on Bailey. Joe Dumars apparently wants Bailey for some reason.
So these two deals contingent on each other:
#2 to Philly. Spurs receive:
* #3
* 2028 Clippers unprotected 1st
* 2029 Unprotected Swap - Spurs receive best of Clippers, 76ers, Spurs
* 2030 76ers unprotected 1st
* 2032 76ers unprotected 1st
Then we flip #3 to New Orleans.
Barnes+Keldon+3 for
* #7
* Trey Murphy
* Herb Jones
* 2032 unprotected swap
Then at 7, we talk to Portland (11th) or Toronto (9th) about trading back. Have the option of taking Fears, Malauch, or Carter Bryant there. Then at 14, Sorber or Essengue.
Sign Kornet with MLE
LaRavia with BAE
Someone like Thomas Bryant with veteran deal
C: Wemby - Kornet - Bryant
F: Herb - Sochan - Essengue
W: Murphy - LaRavia - Julian
G: Castle - Vassell - Branham
P: Fox - Fears - Wesley
Future picks:
2026: Hawks Swap
2027: Hawks
2028: Clippers 1st, Best of Spurs or Celtics
2029: Best of Clippers, 76ers, Spurs
2030: 76ers; Best of Spurs, Mavs, Wolves
2031: Best of Spurs or Kings
2032: 76ers, Best of Spurs or Pelicans
Don't care if it isn't realistic. Luka for AD and a 1st wasn't realistic. If I have the best assets in a trade and I like my asset, I am gonna fleece them.

If we bring in a 30% or 35% max guy, we have 90-95% of the cap going to Fox, Vic and whatever Max guy we bring in in two years. Can't do that. That's why I like the idea of doing high level forwards on good contracts and picks to stay flexible.
