Well, what do you know? Another blowout loss to a vastly inferior team.

I guess if you exclude the hits in the 4th and 5th….

Big Inning sums it up for the night:

"So the Rockies go to Houston and beat the Astros on the day they get Yordan Alvarez back. On the day Hunter Brown starts. You can't. Have that happen. If you're the Astros. They are barely hanging on to a division lead."

You'd think the producers of Big Inning have watched enough Astros to not act so surprised.

Free out after him. No reason to give in.

Meanwhile Detroit gets a two out grand slam from Riley Greene to retake the lead against the A's. Tale of two teams going in different directions. Running out of time to turn it around.

My bad I guess I misread Tags, maybe he said two hits since the 2nd.

We've been blessed to see enough elite baseball played from 2017-22 to know what a team that has "it," or at least may, looks like versus a team that does not.

Guess we are going for the hope Seattle loses strategy.

That said, A's just took the lead because Langeliers and Soderstrom are awesome.

By the time the game starts tomorrow, the Astros could be in a tie for the division lead again

Mariners take the lead. Wild to see a team get down and keep fighting vs a good opponent compared to one that can't be bothered to show up against an awful one.

Opposite trajectories.

- 0-7 at home against the A's and Guardians

- got outscored like 45-6 over a weeklong span

- went 30 innings without scoring

- pantsed at home by the Rockies with the ace on the mound

Not deep playoff run caliber and not even remotely fun to watch. Wicked combo of a team.

This has been a patchwork season, but the team is getting healthy at the right time. It's sad people can't enjoy the resiliency and instead have to focus on the negative aspects.

I am not trying to be rude, but it sounds like the team is making you miserable. Just turn them off and go on with your life.

Its the freaking rockies
Against our ace
At home
Their pitcher had an era north of 7
Yordan back in the lineup which should have had the team pumped

This is absolutely embarrassing and pathetic

It's also just one game. Let's not overreact.

There have been a lot of "just one game"s since the all star break. Way too many. It's past time to stop treating them as anomalies

Every team goes though stuff like this, while it seems a bit too common this year….we're still in good standings for making the playoffs.

Sucks no doubt, we should be far more ahead than we are. Lots of lost opportunities.

And yet they still have the fourth best record in the league and a division lead
