Not a great throw from Higgy, but Smith has to do more to try to smother that ball and keep it from going anywhere, IMO.

Jack has got to figure out how to put hitters away. He gets to an 0-2 or 1-2 count and all the sudden his pitches become non-competitive.

It is frustrating but I've seen some growth this season. It is his first full season and I think he's got a very high ceiling. I'm frustrated too, but willing to be patient.

Man, he's been this guy since day 1 though. He can still improve for sure, but how much idk. He's walked guys like that since he stepped foot in this organization. I think he's always going to have moments or games like this.

I agree with this too. Remember his last start though, he had three good innings, two not so good, then came back and had two good innings. Something to that effect. He shook off those two lengthy innings and then finished strong.

Almost reminds me of Darvish. I think he tries to get cute and loses his way.
