So the only constant is home team crushes foursomes. That probably has to do with course set-up along with rowdy crowds.

That doesn't matter for Ryder Cup play. The format, pairings, team play, intensity, etc all come into play at the Ryder Cup and Team Europe wants to beat the USA team badly.

No brainer really. The Euros will all be playing in the BMW Championship before the RC so the US team better be getting some game reps in, especially with the long layoff between East Lake and the event. I'm hoping they all go to Bethpage too.

The problem is that doesn't historically mean much in team events.
Joaquin Niemann or Sergio or Burmester or Puig or Tyrell Hatton or Shane Lowry or Ancer shows up and just shoves it down our throats with vigor.
It could be argued LIV golf has helped expand Euro golf with an additional option to the DP World Tour.

I think the tour needs to do better scheduling in Ryder Cup seasons. Do the guys need to play more? Sure. But they get one playing opportunity (in the states) in the month leading up to it at a pretty mah golf course. I don't think them playing Silverado leading up to Rome would've changed much.
Europe was still gonna attack our driving accuracy weakness with course set up, just like they did in 2018 when all of our guys played leading up to the event, just like they did in 2014, and just like they're going to do every year when the Ryder Cup is in Europe until somebody realizes the home course manipulation is ruining the event.
