This is long so click away or dig in. Flying back home from Portland ME tomorrow after celebrating our 40th. Wifey found a really sweet loft style AirBnB a few miles from the airport and within walking distance to five breweries. 6 breweries if you count the one with no tasting room. Started at Geary's Brewery which was the farthest away. We shared a flight and had their English Pale Ale, their HSA which is an English Strong Ale, their London Porter and their Summer Ale which was described as a hoppy blonde ale. All were solid except for the Summer Ale which I didn't care for.

Walked to Allagash Brewery and got another flight. We got House Beer which is a Patersbier, Two Lights which is a lager aged on Sauvignon Blanc must with champagne yeast. Definitely could have drank a pint of that one. Finished the flight with Kickabout, a standard American lager and From Maine With Love #40, a 9% double IPA, both solid.

Walked across the street to Definitive Brewery. I am a fan of their hazies so no flight here. I had their IINEIPA called Particles, Wifey had their Definitive IPA. Both very good.

Went next door to Battery Steele Brewery and got t another flight. Picked a blueberry/lemon sour called Endless Ride which was just ok (lactose). Next up was a craft cocktail called Gin and Tonic. It did not taste like gin and tonic and we left it after taking a sip each, way too sweet. Next up was Vagabond Dreamer and Flume, a single and double NEIPA respectively. They were both ok.

We went next door to Foundation Brewery and got another flight. Started with Epiphany which is a double IPA, pretty solid, a couple of saisons, Eddy which was good and Wanderlust which was described as a "hoppy " saison. I had high hopes for Wanderlust but it wasn't particularly hoppy or "saisony" to be honest. Finished with a raspberry sour called Raspberry's My Jam which I liked.

On a side note went north into New Hampshire on Thursday to Vulgar Brewery in Franklin. Met some friends there who know the owners. I really enjoyed their Grisette but their IPAs are pretty solid too. We did 11 breweries in 9 days and oddly they were all first timers for me. Back in the sliver tomorrow. Cheers.
