In a couple of years there may be a chance he could return to CS if Earley does not work out.

Go into your boss's office this morning and take a massive dump on their desk as you turn in your resignation and let us know if you feel like you would be welcome back in a couple of years

That is a great and very appropriate scenario.

A good company with a long history of decent success has their company's greatest salesman of all time walk into his boss's office and dumps on his desk after popping his wife and then leaves for a similar job with one of the industry's historical leaders.
After three years of utterly historically dismal sales, the opportunity to rehire him presents itself.
What do you do???

Is this a serious question? No I would not bring that person back, I would go find another great salesman from another company.

That is one good way of doing it. The only problem I see is if all the other company's salesmen turn you down.

If you are referring to this most recent coaching search, Kendall Rogers reported that we were in talks with two coaches from major programs that definitely would have taken the job until our AD ghosted them for whatever stupid reason there was behind the scenes.

We can hire a top tier coach if we take the search seriously

If Roger's is correct, that is great news.

1. We don't want him back.
2. He doesn't want to be here.

Your strawman is stupid and you should feel ashamed. Embarrassed even.

They wont make it out of the Supers. And this is the beginning of a major fall for this team. Fans already turning Texas fair weather fans.

Mark it.

Just had better beat LSU or I am gonna eat more crow...

But at least I can enjoy another day of watching the downfall.....
I trace it to hiring their head coach. He's an almost winner not a winner.

Would never ever, ever, ever want him back. Ever. Why would any decent human being want that?

I actually find It hard to believe this is an actual statement.

Unless this is sarcasm. It's so hard to tell these days.

Hypothetical:

Schloss wants a return to A&M and using a crystal ball you see A&M will win 5 championships in 10yrs with him..........

If you don't take him back the crystal ball shows no championships for 50 years......

Which scenario would Aggies take?
