I think Sully is attainable this year

Need Trev waiting outside of that cemetery across the street from Disch Faulk waiting to intercept Sully before he gets on the plane back to Gainesville.

Team quit on the coach they wanted. Not sure how you bring Earley back but we will.

My wish list:

1. Mitch Canham - Oregon State
2. Kevin Schnall - Coastal Carolina
3. Pat Hallmark - UTSA

Literally anyone could do just as well as Earley.

But he wins I suppose. That's the bottom line. If we can find a winner that's NOT a colossal dooosh then all the better

Dan McDonnell should have been seriously considered last June and should get a serious look now. Aggies need to have a dude nailed down before June even if it isn't announced until later. Just like Texas did last April.

2 - Has built something where he is (i.e. didn't just inherit a solid program and maintain it)

I'm not endorsing Johnson, but crazy to think that his Oklahoma team run-ruled Missouri 3-straight games in a series at Missouri just 3 weeks ago.

Alberts will likely cheap out again and make some underwhelming hire.

Skip is a hell of a baseball coach and knows Texas very well.

He was ready to take the job last year, so I suspect he would listen again.

Options 1-10: Vaughn

I wasn't fully on this train until this weekend, now it must be done. I just don't see any way this is salvageable.

While it's pointless to compare the roster this year with last year or any other year in terms of absolutes, I think it's pretty safe to say this is one of the more talented rosters we've ever had and potentially the most talented roster he might have in the next few years.

Something was never quite right with this particular team, whether because of pressing or handing the pressure of #1 or the screwed up offseason or whatever... it doesn't matter.

I was 100% for the gamble last year as a way to keep the roster intact and make a run. Now that it's clear that didn't pan out -- AT ALL -- I think you have to make the move and do what's best for the program.

Do it now (tonight or tomorrow morning), put the interim tag on JK. And start the search immediately.

My list is:

1. Heefner (I know, I know. Make him say no one more time).
2. Canham
3. Sully

The next tier for me is probably guys like Vaughn, Skip, or Wes. I would not be ecstatic with either Johnson but do think they could have success here...

I don't know enough about Schnall or Hallmark to have an informed opinion on either.
