Some folks here use "expectations" to mean "we demand." I'll suggest that is not what the word means. If you want to say you predict as an expectation then temper it when your prediction fails. Or better yet…blame the predictor for the disappointment…
My comments were usually about specific plays we didn't execute in a common baseball way whether errors or just fielder's choice mistakes that might not have gotten an E. You say it almost like a scorekeeper which is neutral not malignant.
I'm glad you still support the team. Now instead of being their theater critic (who doesn't hate those guys?) be an advocate of your team in all situations. Tell others the positives especially when your "expectations" are wounded.
Aggie baseball is by a very large margin my favorite sport/team to follow, college or professional. But I wouldn't say this season was fun. Some highlights indeed (like every season), but I'd say it was the most frustrating season ever. I do know one thing - I'll be going into next season with much lower expectations.
Lower expectations you say. Right now for me, there are only two Aggie sports with lower expectations for next year. Soccer and lady's basketball. But baseball is right behind them. Crazy how fast this program has fallen in just one season.
The gap for these three sports and all the others is pretty wide.
