For the remodel? Will Death Berm be going away?
God loves you so much He'll meet you where you are. He also loves you too much to allow to stay where you are.

From what I've heard, the berm is expected to stay. A&M Brass has been trying to get rid of Section 202/203 and convert it to reserved seating. However, the baseball staff has been fighting to keep them as GA. No renders, but mainly planning on what they want added or taken away. After they do that, they'll get renders done.

If you take all GA seating out of the grandstand, then you don't have anywhere to put your 600 seat visitor's section for a super regional. Schools like LSU and Arkansas end up rotating which season ticket sections will get screwed each year. Just one more reason to keep some GA in the grandstand.

If what you are saying is accurate, it sounds like the Brass just wants to do a band aid ("cheap") type of renovation that doesn't truly address the lack of seating situation to try and solve the season ticket waiting list. I could be wrong but that is what it sounds like to me.

I was also hearing that the baseball staff wants to keep Section 203 (the group with the K Lady), as they genuinely believe they impact the game. May or may not be true if that's a deciding factor, but I'm just stating what I've heard.

. If they want to kill what's left of the Olsen atmosphere, making 202 and 203 reserved will do it.

The stadium stuff comes after the player performance stuff so its a ways off. First I've heard of the berm stuff and find it hard to believe when we had been talking about a concourse and seating all the way around the ball field.

The "brass" has no money for baseball stadium expansion.

As a season ticket holder I want 202/203 to remain GA. They provide the students opportunities to attend and bring the experience we want at Olsen.

I'll wait Trev out. I'll be here longer than he will. Keep 202/203 as is.

Any more than his buddy in Austin? I have yet to see anything concerning a remodel/replacement of the Dump Disch. If you believe "broken" promises about upgrades to Olsen were why POS left you are suffering from BAS, a fool or a sip troll.

I think the Brass will only spend funds that are pledged and are considered collectible.

You do realize Trev inherited the Jimbo guaranteed extension Ross did?

90 mill could do a lot towards a complete renovation.

There is no money. Sorry.

One guy that gives money to football paid off the majority of the Jimbo buyout. Thats not what is stopping baseball expansion. My guess is money to pay the baseball players has now become the focus.

And yes, Trev will focus on football long before baseball. That's already clearly been shown.

You want upgrades stadium you need to hope like hell football can make the playoffs and MBB can make ncaa tournies. That'll generate more dollars and maybe allow donations to go to faculties.

After some digging, the renovations are slated to begin during the 2026 fiscal year. The $80 million has already been set aside; however, only $2,830,000 has been approved for use to date. That part has been approved, and they cannot go back on that. The document authorizing the renovations stated that there will be two parts. Part 1) Upgrades to player facilities and technology to aid the team. Part 2: Enhancing the Fan Experience through Stadium Renovations Part 2 is slated to be finalized AFTER Part 1 is complete. It appears that Part 1 is scheduled to begin construction in 2026. The money to the players seems to be coming from somewhere else.

https://www.tamus.edu/regents/wp-content/uploads/sites/28/2025/01/Regular-Binder-February-6-2025.pdf

Starting on page 85 is a detailed plan of the proposed project, along with an explanation of how it will be funded.

Here is what is to be expected, included with the currently approved use of $28.3 million of the $80 million allocated for player development. (Coming from a friend of mine within the athletic department, as well as articles, so take these with a grain of salt)
  • New batting cages
  • A pitching lab
  • Sports medicine facilities
  • Strength and conditioning spaces
  • Team meeting rooms
  • A new home clubhouse
  • New player locker rooms
  • Support lockers for staff and student managers
  • Coaches' lockers
  • New lighting and a new playing surface

The player facilities construction does start in January '26, but they haven't raised the $28 mil to pay for it. As of April they had half committed. Don't hold your breath on the stadium renovations any time soon. As Dermdoc and others have said, the money is not there.

We promised Schloss a stadium in 2021 when we hired him. It's the offseason of 2025 and nothing has been done.

Not sure they are even ready yet. They sent out the RFQ for architect/engineering firms with a deadline for proposals due sometime in mid March, then had to go through the selection process.

Texas A&M promised it. Why is it my fault if our athletic department fails to deliver what they promised

No you said WE. Also was it written into a contract that a stadium reno would occur? I can remember Schloss saying A&M was his dream job.

Again, if you can't see why there isn't money or why is hasn't been done then isn't much use to discuss further.

Again if you want it, write the check.

All I can say is I had the chance to tour the current baseball facilities and they are frankly, embarrassing. We desperately need those upgrades. Of course, I'd like to see the stadium updated like everyone else but we're in the position to fight one battle at a time.

I thought the money for Jimbo's buyout has already been raised and I'm assuming sitting in investment accounts until needed. We have NIL to fund as well. It's about people being stretched thin.

Earley has said they did not have the money to do the whole project so he requested they split off the $28 mil and do the player facilities. I was told in April by someone inside the baseball program that they had only raised half of that. The RFQ was only for the player facilities so unless they have had a windfall of money in the last two months they don't even have all the money for the player facilities, let alone the $80 mil for the total project.
