Can we get back to being classy? The ballpark is full of young kids and is promoted as family friendly. There's even a giant playscape that is always crawling with kids. Yelling profanities at a pitcher, saying they suck, and yelling "it's all your fault" when a pitcher is replaced is pretty classless. There's a difference between heckling and being a jerk. We need to get back to being family-friendly.
100% agree with you except this. "It's all your fault!" is completely fine. Also, "______ was better! clap clap clap clap clap" is fine too for the reliever that comes in. We did those taunts in the 90's. Anything that can get in a pitcher's head and isn't a swear word is fine. What we did do was police those who got overzealous and swore or took things too far. We used to yell, "rest Ags, this is a family environment!" or something along those lines. Obviously, there can be exceptions as mentioned above, lol. But those are few and far between and of course, as Trouble points out, we can still use imagination. And that is just it. A lot of the best things that have been thrown out by Raggies over the years were spontaneous and imaginative things. When you can't just call a person a POS, you have to use you brain to come up with something that many times is much much more effective and funny anyway.
