UGA has a bullpen pitcher by the name of Zach Brown. I feel like there's a good Zach Brown Band heckle in there somewhere....

Can we get back to being classy? The ballpark is full of young kids and is promoted as family friendly. There's even a giant playscape that is always crawling with kids. Yelling profanities at a pitcher, saying they suck, and yelling "it's all your fault" when a pitcher is replaced is pretty classless. There's a difference between heckling and being a jerk. We need to get back to being family-friendly.

I haven't heard "you suck" since opening weekend.

"It's all your fault" is totally family friendly. It's literally his fault. Heckling ain't about being nice. We were much more mean to them in the 90's

They've been working hard to be funny and clever this season and it's been really great. They were absolutely on point through both games Friday.

I haven't heard ANY profanity.

I am at every game. And except for "Jeff Head sucks" I have heard none of what you say you are hearing. Maybe I am deaf. But I get strong vibes of the church lady on SNL.

With all due respect you are looking for a reason to get upset. That is sand somewhere.

But it completely lacks any sort of creativity. There are funny and imaginative ways to express the idea of a pitcher having a poor game.

Directed at Jeff Head is not the same as directing it at the pitcher.

It's a ballpark, not church. You can't expect college kids to act like missionaries. Our fans and heckling are by far the most acceptable in the SEC. Go to an LSU or Arky game if you wanna hear some real classlessness.

They've actually been much better this season. Throw it in the dirt just comes across on TV better than some other stuff.

More than that, they've been willing to listen to constructive criticism.

100% agree with you except this. "It's all your fault!" is completely fine. Also, "______ was better! clap clap clap clap clap" is fine too for the reliever that comes in. We did those taunts in the 90's. Anything that can get in a pitcher's head and isn't a swear word is fine. What we did do was police those who got overzealous and swore or took things too far. We used to yell, "rest Ags, this is a family environment!" or something along those lines. Obviously, there can be exceptions as mentioned above, lol. But those are few and far between and of course, as Trouble points out, we can still use imagination. And that is just it. A lot of the best things that have been thrown out by Raggies over the years were spontaneous and imaginative things. When you can't just call a person a POS, you have to use you brain to come up with something that many times is much much more effective and funny anyway.

Now, this would have been said in the 90s! If the kid's name was Dick (or Richard) of course. I can't remember if it was the late 90's or 00's but one team had a reliever named Massengale. Well, you can imagine the things said. Granted, I am sure he had heard them at games many times before, but when done in combination with the other usual things, probably had some effect on the kid.

As far as us 203 guys believe, yelling that "so and so was better" or that it was a pitcher's fault is fair game because we are stating a fact without outright insulting someone. We have taken the "so and so sucks" criticism and toned it down because we do agree that we can be more funny than insulting. Anytime someone goes too far, we've made sure to police it because we want it to be fun, but also not fall to the levels of LSU fans. If you have any good criticism or question, please feel free to reach out to me.

Thats awesome. There was a Seal on the Missouri team last year. Everytime he was up to bat, they did a seal sound. My kids loved it. They will still do it when they hear that name.

One thing I have always had an issue with is when the other team commits an error the fans will chant "Stupid, stupid, stupid" when it should be "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

"Stupid" was always for the other team making bone headed plays, like trying to steal and getting thrown out, getting caught in a run down or on defense throwing to the wrong base, etc.

EEE is for an error. That can be stupid but misplaying or booting a ball isn't really "stupid".

And, ya. Neither should be "you suck". That is a lack of imagination and takes it too far. Just my opinion...
