Oh my gosh, I wish you could have seen them today! We had a ton of rain two days ago, which was snow in the Smokeys. I was driving into town today and the sky was clear, it was 71, and yet the mountains were laden with snow. It was beautiful!

I can probably get the board to make an exception since I've met you.

I'll ask at the next board meeting.

Who was our pitcher a few years ago that used to mumble all the time to himself on the pitchers mound?

I'm drawing a blank.

That was Nolan Hoffman

Didn't Moo used to do a little talking to himself also?

I mean not like Hoffman. Hoffman would go up there and recite War And Peace before every pitch

Just my two cents.

We live about 30 minutes from Lindsey Nelson Stadium, the Tennessee ballpark. As a complete derail, Lindsey Nelson was the bomb! YouTube Lindsey Nelson and the New York Mets. He, Bob Murphy, and Ralph Kiner were arguably one of the best trio of broadcasters in the 60's/70's. Just my opinion.

Back to the topic. The University of Tennessee is in a valley (Cumberland Plateau to the northwest, Smoky Mountains to the southeast). It was 71 degrees here today and I'm a week behind from mowing my lawn.

There is no need for artificial turf here.

My young self mostly remembers Mr Nelson being the voice of the Cotton Bowl on CBS every New Years Day
