The following is a release from Texas A&M Athletics:

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION The Texas A&M volleyball team announced its 2025 schedule Monday featuring 10 non-conference fixtures, a 15-match SEC regular season slate and the return of the conference tournament.

"We're excited about the challenges ahead, both in and out of conference play," head coach Jamie Morrison said. "The SEC is as strong as it's ever been, and our non-conference schedule is designed to prepare us for that grind. We're looking forward to testing ourselves against some of the best teams in the country."

The Aggies planned a challenging schedule, as they face 13 NCAA Tournament teams from the 2024 championships, eight of which were from the SEC.

A&M opens its campaign at the previously announced AVCA First Serve event versus Minnesota, held at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Aug. 25.

The Maroon & White remain on the road for the following two weeks to play six matches, opening with the Rice Invitational where they face the host Owls (Aug. 29) and Central Arkansas (Aug. 30). The group follows that up with a trip to Utah, that features matches against the Utes (Sept. 4) and Utah State (Sept. 5). The road stint is concluded with a pair of fixtures at SMU (Sept. 9) for the SEC/ACC Showdown at the Net and TCU (Sept. 10).

The Aggies return to the Brazos Valley to wrap up their non-conference schedule in front of the 12th Man, as they host the Texas A&M Invitational. The Maroon & White will face Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 18), New Hampshire (Sept. 19) and Loyola Marymount (Sept. 20).

The 15-game conference schedule features seven home and eight road fixtures, opened by a pair of matches in Reed Arena versus Missouri on Wednesday, Sept. 24, and Vanderbilt on Friday, Sept. 26.

The remainder of the home schedule consists of one Wednesday fixture and a pair of Friday and Sunday contests. The Aggies host Kentucky for their lone midweek conference match (Oct. 8), followed by a weekend set versus Oklahoma (Oct. 17) and Arkansas (Oct. 19). The annual Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown with Texas is the penultimate home match (Oct. 31) before the slate is closed by Georgia (Nov. 16).

A&M's road lineup starts with a pair of two-match stints sandwiched around a Wednesday contest, playing at South Carolina (Oct. 1), Alabama (Oct. 5), Mississippi State (Oct. 12), LSU (Oct. 24) and Ole Miss (Oct. 26). A&M concludes its away slate with matches at Tennessee (Nov. 2), Auburn (Nov. 7) and Florida (Nov. 12).

The Aggies then open their postseason campaign at the reintroduced SEC Tournament held in Savannah, Georgia (Nov. 21-25).

Minnesota, SMU, and TCU! Now that's one hell of a non conference!

New Hampshire and Loyola Marymount were tourney teams last year as well

TCU won't be the same without Melanie Parra, if we can take down Minnesota game 1 and go into Dallas and take down SMU, we can potentially go undefeated in non conference and by that time be a top 5 team headed into conference play

Jamie wants this group battle tested and road tested, before a fairly easy (bit no gimme's) home tourney before conference play. I like the vision!

Yeah, I did not love that, but I get why.
It will be nice that most of the non-con is in state and thus easy for the fans to show us. We need to start to travel as a fanbase.

Yeah we get to showcase the brand to Aggies in Houston and Dallas. Hopefully we can get some fans to show out there. Then with some solid wins, hopefully it builds the intensity and anticipation to the home tournament! Wish we got a big match at home though in non conference!

I agree, I was shocked we did not have a bigger opponent at home.

You could argue we should have lost to New Hampshire last year in our tourney. A challenge that was suspect helped us immensely in set 5

I heard the possibilioty of a game at home Aug 31st but it didnt happen likely because of the timeline of the Utah away series we scheduled

I am assuming this is the strategy, but hate that we only have 3 non-conference matches at home and nothing until mid Sept. They are just going to be teasing us that the season started and then make us wait a month to get to see them at home.

Not playing at Texas this year. I guess they did not like us beating them on their home court.

Was just looking at that. 15 SEC matches, so we play everyone once. Was Texas the only team we played twice last year?

I believe LSU was the only other team we played twice.

I was curious so looked it up. We lost to #8 tu at Reed 1-3 in the first SEC match of the season and then beat them at their place 3-2, when they were #7. We lost to LSU 2-3 at their place and then beat them at Reed 3-1 in the second to last game of the regular season.

Do we think any of the non-cons are home v home where we'll have a badass home nonconference schedule next fall?
