So Shawnti Jackson didn't line up for the 100. She ran a 12.89 in high school and many believed she would have gone pro at 16 or even 17. She shocked the world and signed to Arkansas, didn't race last year due to injury. Ran at 2 meets before this week just to qualify, ran an 11.05 in prelims and was looking like Arkansas was going to destroy everyone in the 4x100 heat then she hurt her hamstring! Feel bad for her, she is supposed to be the future of USA sprinting

Hate losing commitments but losing Mackenzie Collins hurt. She's supposed to be a senior in high school right now graduated early in hope of coming here to play volleyball. She decides to forgo playing college volleyball and focuses on track, still decides to enroll early and makes nationals in the 400 hurdles. Would have loved to see her as middle for A&M volleyball, would've been the future of the position in 2026 and could've been a track star for us as well

Jasmine Harmon ran the first leg! Glad she got to qualify in an event after seeing her fall in the hurdles! I'm not sure if she's ran on the relay before. Jaiya Covington had ran lead off but lately it was Latasha Smith, after her rough 400 maybe she's injured or just not feeling well

Every 4x400 team that advanced in the East ran 3:30 or lower

You all know how much I love cross country and seeing the amazing things Roberts has done on the track as well as Cherono and Fontenot! Those 3 as centerpieces on your cross team will be awesome! If San Juanita Leal is healthy along with Shewaye Johnson, Emma Little, and our incoming freshman class… wow, we'll have an amazing cross country team! Also can't wait to see San Juanita Leal on the track as well, God willing she's healthy! I'll talk to her old club coach in a couple weeks and get an update lol

Prayers she stays healthy, can't wait to see what she does the next 3 years and beyond!! She's making nationals next year!
