Convoy

We all saw that one. There was even a hit song on the radio called Convoy.

I apologize but that was one of the lamest songs I have ever heard.

There is a reason they put Pig Pen at the end of the convoy

How 'boutcha, Rubber Duck?

Yer killin' me, Smalls!

That was the worst SLJ movie I've ever seen. They could not be bothered to make his fake guitar playing look even remotely realistic. To be fair, the whole plot line was just an excuse to see a not quite nude Christina Ricci chained up to suppress her nympho urges.

If it has Ursula Andress in it you can count me in! I don't care how ****ty of a movie it is.

Well, I have another one that is a close runner-up. Stateline Motel starring Ursula Andress, Eli Wallach, and Fabio Testi.

I feel like it's a mix of just ****ty C or D rate movies that of course no one has watched…. Or less popular but still larger movies.

My head went to movies that still had good actors in them but lost people I talk to haven't seen them. I landed on Secondhand Lions and Support your Local Sheriff.

My old man loved this move. For Christmas one year he had me and my brother make like 20 copies as gifts for our Scout Troop.

Really good movie. Jack Black should have gotten an Oscar.

She would chew your ass out at the drop of a hat. I mean, she'd rip you a brand new, three-bedroom, two-bath, double-wide *******. No problem.

Midnight Madness
Caveman
The Ice Pirates
Tank
Kicking & Screaming (1995)

Kicking & Screaming is a classic.

  • Phil Weston: You're my assistant. Okay? You're supposed to back me up and go get me juiceboxes whenever I tell you. Now go get me a juicebox!
  • Mike Ditka: DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO?
  • Phil Weston: I'm talkin' to the juicebox guy!
  • Mike Ditka: You're crazy!
  • Phil Weston: I'm not crazy, I'm just thirsty!
  • Mike Ditka: WELL, YOU GO TO HELL!
  • Phil Weston: No, you go to hell! While you're there, why don't you grab me a juicebox!

Oh probably "Hamburger: The Motion Picture". I was tasked for looking for a 'date night' movie to rent (VCR days) for a double date movie night at our cheap apartment with a couple girls we didn't know very well.

While watching the movie my buddy kept looking at me with a 'WTF were you thinking?!?' look. It's basically the fast food version of Police Academy.
Consistency: It's only a virtue if you're not a screw-up.

I've actually seen this movie.

It would not be allowed to be made today, too offensive.

El Arracadas

As a kid we didn't have cable TV. We had 5 1/2 channels with 2 of those being Mexican channels. We watched old movies on those Mexican channels and I don't think any of you have ever watched that Mario Almada/Vicente Fernandez classic. Unless you grew up in deep south Texas you likely weren't exposed.

Not the Will Ferrell version (although that one is funny...and I love me some Ditka)

The 1995 version that hit right in my wheelhouse at that particular time of my life

Pretty good flick, especially with the '69 Mach 1 and the beautiful sounds it made!
