Were they purposely going for a Jimmy Savile vibe with that character? That's immediately who I thought of when he popped on screen.DannyDuberstein said:
Yeah, the Snatch gypsy power ranger finish was very odd.
So after watching 28 Years Later I want to sum up the whole movie with a gif pic.twitter.com/Yg7dLU0va0

Agree.Quote:
I would say maybe just cut it to 3-5 high profile tweet reviews per movie but that's just my opinion.

Did they ever say why other governments wouldn't just airdrop the pockets of survivors meds and weapons to help them out? That was in the back of my mind the whole time.

No, but I was wondering the same. Also, the survivors sure didn't care about retrieving their limited supply of arrows either…

keep thinking about how 28 years later is actually the most tender, endearing film of the year. really under my skin the idea of starting with memento mori and effortlessly landing at memento amoris. brilliant writing from alex garland and career best from ralph fiennes pic.twitter.com/nKFuoWCXDd

Certainly the Clockwork Orange crew at the end didn't care about risk when they went into Kill Bill mode.Quote:Quote:The Dog Lord said:Quote:

They didn't want to risk exposing themselves to the blood. Possible spatter when they pull it out. Sharp arrow covered in infected blood. Dangerous to retrieve. Dangerous to handle after retrieval.

Just got out and I really liked it. Legit question for those who hated it, I'm curious what you were expecting or wanting from this movie? I feel like this is peak Danny Boyle filmmaking.
Well said. I thought it had some flaws, but the emotional impact and imagery was oustanding. There are several scenes that I found very haunting. I haven't seen a movie that made me think about it several days later like this in a while. On a side note, my theater was basically emtpy.John Matrix said:
****ing loved it. 28 Years Later is the exact type of genre film that people should be championing-a weird, emotionally-driven exploration into thematic material not usually covered by mainstream filmmakers.
Once you understand that it is a coming-of-age story that just happens to feature zombies, everything falls into place story -wise.
I loved it.
