I'm going to spoiler tag this - honestly it's not that big of a deal but despite seeing almost everything about the setlists and tributes I was unaware of this:

The encore contains significant tributes in video form to OG Rush drummer John Rutsey. I had no idea. And it was nicely done. Certainly not as emotional despite his passing as well in 2008. He never had that connection for longtime fans. It's not even really a Pete Best kind of thing. He was good enough he just left for his own reasons.

I really enjoyed the CDMX show, actually enjoyed it way too much. We wore the lady out bringing those 24oz Victoria's (actually one of my favorite beers) and were tipping her so she gave some shots 2X1, which our 50 something selves didn't need. Sunday morning was rough as a cobb, went out and found a steaming bowl of "pancita", the Central Mex version of Menudo which I prefer.

My buddy actually found me a $21, obviously bootleg, 2XL Tshirt outside in the multitude of knockoff vendors. They had some cool shirts crafted.

I am long time listener and first time attendee. Really should have a made a show sooner. To hear The Trees live was something special to me as was hearing By Tor as well, obviously all the other tunes were too cool.

Seeing them in my hometown, that I miss dearly, was a lot of fun and to see how many young folks were there made my heart glad. The couple sitting next to me were mid 30's "rokeros", but weren't that familiar with Rush. I was in a loose tongue, to say the least, condition and during the intermission tried to share the history of Rush's early albums. They were not impressed, I do not believe.

Had a great time and I sure wish I would have caught them sooner.

I wish I would have caught them many more times but I have managed 7 tours. Life got in the way between these eras.....I'm jealous of those that caught every tour.

Moving Pictures Tour - in Kemper Arena KC
Grace Under Pressure Tour - Cotton Bowl Dallas
Hold Your Fire Tour - Reunion Arena Dallas
-------------
R30 Tour - Smirnoff Center Dallas (outdoor place at Fair Park now called Dos Equis Pavilion)
Clockwork Angels Tour - AAC Dallas
R40 Tour - AAC Dallas first show to take my son
Fifty Something Tour - Dickies Arena Ft. Worth - second show to take my son

Gonna go to their Sept 13th concert in San Antonio. Never saw them but do fondly recall KMAC AM 630 in San Antonio playing tracks off of the first album. Sounded pretty good on the '62 Corvair radio back in the day.

Rush puts on a hell of a show. Be prepared to never sit down (or rarely) even in cheap seats but it depends on those around you. Not unlike an Aggie game.

It was 3 hours start to finish. Even with filler (intro films, tributes) and intermission timed at 24 minutes I bet they played 2:20+

Rush do not use an opening act and they will start like clockwork at 7:45pm so get to your seat. It's one of the few shows you'll see with everyone in their seats by the stated showtime. I noticed Mexico City started a little later but that's pretty rare.

Enjoy yourself.

$21 "vendor" shirt?

Wash that thing on short Cold cycle, and flat dry!

Ha, Tshirts and clothing are about the only thing I know a little about. The blank is a decent T, one of the upper end Mex manufacturers. The screen print is ass, but who cares. There were thousands buying stuff outside the stadium, and dozens looking at the one tent inside the venue.

The coolest thing I saw was a sublimated replica of the Mex National soccer jersey with RUSH across the front. If they would have had a 2XL I would have bought it.

There was a gambit of cool RUSH nic-nacks but I am past that kinda stuff in my old age.

So funny, even is 2026 they can't stop the blatant bootleg stuff in Mex. The arena where the concerts were is near "tepito" where all the contraband used to, and still does, flow through and where up through the late 70s there was an actual thieves market there. Now it is a rougher area with harsher crime and, for lack of a better word, "cartels". Those crime groups, via unions and arrangements with government/cops, operate openly. There was a couple outside the venue offering tequila shots for just over $2usd. I am not fond of tequila, so it was a no go for me.

Any crowd event in Mex is worth the spectacle price. I enjoyed it. And they were handing out free samples of some kind chile covered cheeto knock off as we exited, so we had that going for us after many Victoria's. Very glad I went, and likely my last show. Although thinking of Maiden later this year.

I was there last night with my wife, son and daughter in law. It wasn't very far into Xanadu that I knew beyond a doubt that we were in for something really special. Our minds were blown. Alex and Geddy were obviously having a blast and Anika is officially a badazz. Everyone enjoyed it and I'm glad we went. I think we'll all remember this for a long time.

I wish I would have gotten into them earlier. Previously thought of them as KZPS filler until I went to the Primus Farewell to Kings cover tour a few years back. Captain Shiner sailing through Cygnus X-1 did it for me.

Friday's show was easily top 3 for me.

Nice quality recording of Friday's show. I'm convinced I should be able to see the back of my head somewhere. We were 12th row, directly in front of Geddy.

As far as tributes, may have been mentioned, but in beginning montage video when Alex and Geddy were playing cards as their 90 year old selves, there was a glass of bourbon/brandy with a folded napkin over the glass with Neil's name.

That's actually an actor, not Alex. All three are appearing at RushCon in Toronto in August.

Rush FB group is saying both tonight and July 2nd are being rescheduled to July 11th and 13th. Sucks so bad for the fans, sorry to anyone going (including several friends of mine).

Seems like Ged has laryngitis and bronchitis, ouch!

Dang...hate the cancellations. Can't imagine the complicated logistics of that for fans and performers alike.

I wish everyone luck with this tour. I'm 12 years younger than these guys, and just thinking of a schedule like this wears me out!

I found out 14 minutes after they posted. My brother got here at 4:30 and we were gonna head out in a little while.

Wow - I was on the fence about going to the rescheduled show on 2nd.

I thought the initial announcement of 14 or shows seemed about right.

Adding another 50+ shows seemed a bit ambitious. We were exhausted after one 3 hour show! Sucks for the fans and for the band.

We got here at 4:30, got some shirts and went off to get a bite to eat. Place filled up with fans as we ate. Leaf at 6 and ubered back to the arena, go out and they wer passing word.

Now I'll have to see what/where I can get to. I hear Glasgow has tickets.

Got to the hotel. Had a few drinks. Ride to the show. Told it was cancelled. Thought the guy was a liar. He was not. Wife bought a shirt. I bought one of the foil posters…19 of 75. Walked back to the hotel. More drinks and some dinner. Already booked the room for the 11th.

Chicago 4 nights starting July 16

So these rescheduled dates are before that. They had a break of 14 days and will just cut that short by 4 days. So back in FW on July 11 and 13.
