Yes. It's a resort that has conference rooms on the first two floors & they have opened their 6th floor grand ballroom for anyone to shelter in place. They are giving us snacks, waters, & sodas. Also sheets & pillows.

We are just outside of LA Push, WA which will be one of the first places in the continental US to get hit. Right now they are just telling everyone to stay off the beach and jetties and don't drive down to watch the waves come in.

Looks like a huge wave on the Maui cam by Black Rock

Could be a play on our eyes with clouds and sunset but multiple cams look like big wave incoming

So... while we're watching for news in Hawaii and what the impact will be on the west coast and Alaska, I'm reflecting.

I've lived in Anchorage (and been to every conceivable corner of the state) . The incredibly indescribable damage that the 1964 earthquake did there, from my history lessons, just boggles my brain of the force of nature.

Have sat on the sand at Midway, at Wake Island, some other places out in the Pacific that don't have any hills. Just basically sea level. Can not imagine what it would be like to be among the dozens of folks out there right now - I reckon there is some reinforced facilities still there for protection from high winds, but a 6 foot lift in the ocean - nope. There's no protection from that.

The Climate alarmist are really gonna be down in the dumps if this is all that comes towards Hi, AK, and CA. I'm certain they had the stories already written about how Trump and his pullback in clean/green energy scams caused all of this, including the earthquake that set this all off.

If it does materialize, hopefully everyone is safe.

Going to be hard to see if it doesnt come ashore soon with it getting dark

Yep, been to the kwaj, way back in the day.

My pilots were so polite to me, as they stared at the ocean for 9 or 10 hours, not having a clue how to use a sextant to find a little dot...

Yeah I think Hawaiian islands may come out ok, unless the national weather service was way off on there timing .. probably need to wait if out a little longer per Fox Weather Live channel
