On a lighter note....................Tanya could troll with the best of them and owned a lot of F16 real estate in the domes of many a poster. This includes yours truly when I was a young man. Over the years I stopped sparring with her got more of a kick out of the reactions to her derails and how she could tie some posters up in knots.

Tanya my dear:

S

Well put, and the only thing I will add is that "twuntnozzle" is a pejorative that I had not seen before and have not seen since having it shared on one of the mom stories threads. I steered clear, but always enjoyed reading.

I don't know for sure what is on the other side, but I feel like there is one and that she's able to know how loved she was. That's what I'm telling myself, at least.

Here. Her cross posts from her secret boards always had me in stitches.

Tanya was a pretender. She actually loved the conservative principles that the right leaning faction of this board supports. But, she was stubborn and hard headed and would never admit that she voted for Trump. She would complain about school problems or tax problems and still pretend that she wasn't really a conservative in her heart.

She was a great mom and a great person and she left a legacy for future generations.

Frugal moms (not sure if I got name right) was epic.

I tried to read Brave New World on Tanja's suggestion. Never finished and plan to never try.

Another Aggie Baseball fan gone.

She had kidney and liver failure. With both, any transplant was very problematical.

(My late sister had something very similar.)

Both?! Wow. Never heard that before.

Death is a strange thing. This person that you knew is there one second and gone the next. That human existence is no longer on planet earth. It's just hard to comprehend.

Someone else needs to pick up the torch for the BSC moms posts she used to report on.

It happens more often than you might believe. Conditions that can induce organ failure do tend to affect multiple organs eventually. I am not sure what was the precipitating condition for Tanya, though.

With my sister, it was her hemodialysis that messed up her liver. She contracted hepatitis.

We sparred politically for years but met in person and became fast friends who never agreed on anything except Aggie baseball.
Hunter Melton had graciously sent me a game worn Aggie jersey with a personal note to her. Unfortunately she passed before I could get it to her. Going to give it to Benny.

Death is so hard to comprehend and yet it eventually comes to us all. Don't know the source of the quote, but this has always stuck with me - "Death is the price we pay for having had the privilege of life"

Thoughts & prayers for Tanya and all who loved her.

Geez, I have never heard of that, but sounds awful. Is that just a random syndrome type of thing that can strike anyone or can lifestyle contribute? I'm always paranoid with liver stuff because my bilirubin is always somewhat elevated in every blood draw, but thinking it might be hereditary.

Not an expert on HRS by any stretch, but I've mostly seen it associated with some kind of liver failure. Unfortunately, there are many causes of liver failure. Best to talk to your primary care physician for an interpretation of an elevated bilirubin. Hoping and mostly expecting that it's nothing, but that's something for your PCP. Good luck and all the best!

Part of my sister's issues with her kidneys was genetic as other women in our ancestry had died from kidney issues after childbirth. Pregnancy puts a strain on kidneys. When my sister got married, her doctors advised her to have her tubes tied for that reason.

I have also had kidney issues for most of my adult life. Not the sole reason I never had children but that, along with cervical cancer, was a big factor.

Sunshine is good for processing bilirubin, FYI.
It takes a special kind of brainwashed useful idiot to politically defend government fraud, waste, and abuse.

Thanks man…it's just outside of normal and she doesn't think it's a concern at all, but I had Hep A as a 2nd grader so I've always been a hypochondriac about liver stuff I guess.

Howdy All,
I never post on Politics, but wanted to share this in case you are not following the big thread on general.

For those in/near BCS, we will be having a lunch with Dabo (Will) and Benny to celebrate Tanya's life. The lunch will be this Friday at 11:45. Current thought is Wings in More on University or Jose's on Texas.

We are doing headcounts over on this thread: https://texags.com/forums/35/topics/3552433/replies/70641775

If you prefer, you can post here or message/email me and I'll add you to the list.

As to your quote about death, that is a good one. I always liked the lyrics to "For a Dancer" especially the part that says:

Just do the steps that you've been shown
By everyone you've ever known
Until the dance becomes your very own
No matter how close to yours another's steps have grown
In the end, there is one dance you'll do alone

As to Tanya, I loved it when she and another poster would get into a heated row over something, back and forth, back and forth they would go. Eventually, she would say "have a good day" or "you have a great weekend" as if that was the end of it, lol. Sometimes it was, sometimes it wasn't.
