I'm truly sorry to hear this. Tanya and I did not get along very well on this board, but I was very sorry to hear about her medical issues and I'm sorry that her son will no longer have his mother.

It's clear she has raised a bright, strong-willed son who she loved fiercely. I think that smart kid also played a role in red-pilling her to a fair degree lol. But it was also clear that she raised him as a kid comfortable to be his own man and have his perspectives, and that says a lot about her. May she rest in peace.

There are still a few for sure but not too many. Crazy to think that was 30 years ago.

Tanya was my favorite communist.

I like having reasonable discussions with people that I don't agree with. It's so much more interesting than the various echo chambers that have formed over the internet. It is very hard to find polite argument over political issues these days, and Tanya was good at that, even if she was wrong most of the time.

And, as her viewpoints shifted a bit, I am definitely a fan of the newer version, Taco Truck Tanya.

And, prayers for Benny. Huge Benny fan. The fact that Tanya leaned into his capitalist / entrepreneurship interests is really interesting and admirable given Tanya's political leanings.

She must have been from Houston.

Tanya was such a presence on TA. There are a very small number of posters who I would consider true pillars of TA, and Tanya was one of them. I always admired how she never relented, even in the face of a lot of really awful treatment. Her ability to respond with the perfect combination of grace and snark was a thing of beauty - especially in her tales of Benny's teachers complaining about the lunches she packed for him. I never met her in person, but we talked every now and then and her presence here made her seem like that friend you've always had who kept everything in perspective.

Great mom to her son and someone I respected on here that stuck to her principles and beliefs. Loved hearing her stories about Benny and kind of feel like we got to watch him grow up. Hated to hear that she got sick and thought she was on the mend. Sad to see this news today. TexAgs has lost a great poster.
