His quote is below, I'm not posting the link from the Twitter account of the reporter in college station who hates conservatism at A&M.

"It's ironic that state officials want to micromanage our university more than ever while our donors bear more of its financial burden than ever."

A northeast liberal who has spent decades in Massachusetts doesn't like what A&M is doing, I'm shocked.

Saw him speak at Austin Muster in the early 2000s. He was a big proponent of Vision 2020. I was naive at the time, but I knew some Aggies didn't care for it. I got to shake Hagler's hand after the gathering and mentioned to him that I knew some Aggies did not share his vision for A&M. He seemed incredulous that other Aggies would not be on board with it

Laughably stupid. Getting rid of useless majors and useless classes is not MAGA. It's placing the focus back on education. Sorry you don't want college kids to be educated instead of indoctrinated, but most intelligent people realize the value in education.

A&M is not a liberal arts university. Our purpose is in the initials in our name. If someone is looking for that type of education, there is another state univetsity not too far West.

We are a land, space, and sea grant university that should be laser focused on science, technology, and engineering. Dropping curriculum that doesn't align with those goals doesn't make A&M 'MAGA', it makes us what we are supposed to be, a leading research university.

Is the price that we're paying a 91% increase in SEC school enrollment from students originating in the northeastern states?

Seems like some parents in the typically tolerant, civilized, and sophisticated part of the country sure do like what's going on down here in "MAGA" country.

It's only being done because of State politicians, and they are doing this with all State Universities in Texas. It isn't A&M just deciding to do this.

That said, there's nothing wrong with making America great again. Trying to use MAGA as an insult is dumb.
