My daughter was diagnosed in 2022 about halfway through first grade. She's had an amazing attitude and does a lot to help with her care and I'm really proud of her resilience. My wife started a local group on Facebook and we found other kids her same age that also have Type 1 and we get together every couple of months and it's been amazing for both the kids and the parents as well. There's some really solid friendships developing in that group.

Every day is different with Type 1 and there's definitely many ups and downs but the technology for managing diabetes that's available these days is incredible.

That's great to hear. Glad that she is doing well with it and you've found a support group. It certainly can be different every day, but it sounds like y'all have a good approach.
