I need to get rid of an "almost" new Taurus PT 24/7 Pro .45 caliber pistol. Purchased it for the daughter who wanted to give it to her boyfriend as a graduation gift. Long story short, she dumped the boyfriend, "recovered" the pistol and now she wants to dump the pistol. She paid $432 ten weeks ago and is asking $325.

No ploy. She's a catch...18, beautiful, smart, tons of common sense, not BSC...and she loves to hunt, fish and watch college football. But I spoiled the heck out of her. She's been hunting South Texas with me since she was 10 and she's developed an expensive taste in big whitetails. She's been chasing her dream to be plastic surgeon since Kindegarten and all signs are still good. Despite a few bobbles (i.e., this pistol), she's solid.

I've no interest in the pistol, but you've talked me into the girl...

Does she need help moving in?

Not that a 21 year old undergrad with a satisfying salary job who loves to hunt, camp, and 'collect' firearms, as well as camping out for 50 yard line 2nd deck football tickets for every game, has any interest in an apparently eye catching incoming freshman with similar views on life...

Now kicking my self for driving up to SA last Saturday and buying furniture...

Shame me OB... I'm single in a town lacking quality women, why am I buying furniture when a firearm like this is on the market just days later?

Thanks for the warning, but no worries with this kid. She can fend off the demons for herself. She can handle her Sig .40 (with Crimson Trace grips just 'cuz) with the skill of a veteran Texas Ranger. I think she bought the pistol for the ex-boyfriend just so things would be a little more even.

She sounds like quite the catch, there's no denying that. And if those are really her ideas of a good date... AND she prefers a Sig... Then I look forward to meeting her.

However, and I mean no offense by this, I don't exactly expect her to pick up guys from the website her dad goes to, so my hopes aren't too high. (AgLawMan's daughter: Don't get too mad at your dad for this thread, he obviously cares about you and thinks you can take care of yourself. That's better than him babying you, right?)

As a side note, the offer to help yall was genuine. I will be there assisting Move In along with a few of my interns. As you obviously know, we Aggies are a good bunch who stick together; I'd be happy to assist.




Now, back on topic. I currently only own 9mm and .380 when it comes to semi-auto pistol calibers, as I like to standardize my rounds (I reload), but if I get my grandfather's 1911 before you sell this, then count me as a potential buyer.
