I spent the day out there today. Definitely go through the ardn if you volunteer.

There's a number you can text that been posted here that gets you in with the civilians running a response through the local church.

That said, my observation was that there was almost too many volunteers. There's definitely abundant supplies right now. Heb has a place set up there as well.

Again, use the chamber links above. I think, at this point, if youre wanting to volunteer, it'd be the ebst use of both your and the response peoples time and resources.

The damage was way worse in person. Pictures just don't do it justice

Lake Travis just hit 660 this morning.

Now 661 feet and rising 2:30 am 7/11

I remember when I lived in that area for a few years I tracked Lake Travis water elevations religiously, didnt want to see any islands popping up during summer boating season. Also, Carlos N Charlies was more fun when we could drive the boat right up and tie off then walk up. good times

Carlos N Charlies was a fun time. The old restaurant in Hurst Harbor is now the restaurant in Point Venture. Those drought years killed some good times..

Flood gates at LBJ are open, Buchanan is about a foot from full pool, lots of water will be flowing into Travis in the coming days.

Just left the marina after checking on our boat. They said they expect Lake Travis to go up 6-8 feet.

No real debris in the water, but water was not clear.

Buchanan is about three feet from full pool, not one. Buchanan is allowed to go to 1,020 during the summer months now.

We need some clear weather for a while for the lake to clear up. I am out of town but I understand Lago got quite a bit of rain again today.

Lake is up almost 35 feet in less than 2 weeks. It will be crazy to see the difference.
