I went to Mojo Tortilla yesterday because it was on my way home. I hadn't been back since early opening. They must have gotten comments about the amount of stuff in the breakfast tacos. Early there was very little in the tacos. So I was surprised when I unwrapped and my Dirty South was loaded! And it was soooo yummy!

Does anyone have a dinner recommendation for a group of 16 (with 2 being young children)? Looking for pretty casual / Moderate price. The only places I have on my radar (due to them having private rooms) is Napa Flats (the spend requirement is likely too large), C&J BBQ (prob. best option for private room so far), Shipwreck Grill ($150 room fee probably a deal breaker) and Papa Perez (due to our size they can't guarantee not to put another large group in the room). Would like any opinions or other suggestions at this point.

We tried out Sakura yesterday, the rebranded ramen place behind Snooze.
Big meh.
I ordered the black garlic ramen and the soup dumplings. Both lacked flavor and salt. Very little garlic flavor in the ramen. My friend said her spicy ramen wasn't spicy at all. We never got the iced teas we ordered.
I also noticed that their ramen descriptions use the English terms for Japanese ingredients. I'm not sure what the proper Japanese term is, but "black fungus" just doesn't sounds appetizing.
Iza Robata will continue to get my business. Tanaka is good too.

Well, I can tell you there was barely 1 strip of bacon and there was enough tortilla to make another taco. For $5, I expected more and that's why I hadn't been back.
Glad they got it right.

Has anyone eaten sushi at Imperial recently?
We haven't eaten there recently and are thinking about stopping in. We used to like the place…

I'm still curious about the old Applebees location (empty for many years now?). There was a dumpster next to it, but I could not tell if it was for whoever bought Applebees or for the housing next door to it.

The story was that someone bought Applebees and was applying for an alcohol permit, but if I recall the zoning didn't permit alcohol sales (even though Applebees was selling alcoholic beverages). Looks like they have given up.
