Ok, yall have me thinking now about finding the real value and making somebody a deal. This has been a good exercise on what I own, what I get, value, etc etc.
Timeshare values are based on a multitude of variables like most anything. Let me give you an example that even a Caveman or Texags reader would understand. Say I offer you an Alabama tix this Fall for $200. That might or might not be a good deal. If it is a single tix on the top row corner of the South endzone then $200 is prob not that great a deal. If it is 4 seats together at $200 each in a suite or West Club with A lot parking then that is a homerun. Timeshares trade the same way, what is the location, week you own, trading power with RCI to get other resorts, trading or Bonus time within your family of timeshares, in this case Silverleaf. So you cant say this Silverleaf timeshare is worth $1 so this other one is worth $1 just like you can't say this Bama tix is worth $200 so this other tix is worth $200, does that make sense?
KW02, you found the $1 timeshare but that is week #5, the first week Feb. Maybe good if you own in a snow ski town but not so much in Conroe. As you can imagine, in most locations the most value is going to be Spring Break, Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Years and over the Summer months. I challenge you to find a Silverleaf (SL) Piney Shores weeks 23-34 (June to August) for less than $3750, the cheapest I saw on the site you referenced was $15,900. Lets assume that's an annual usage and divide by 2 so roughly $7800.
In addition my unit was purchased prior to 2006 so I qualify for what is called Endless Escapes in odd years, the year I have access to the resort. So in the odd years, based on availability I can get unlimited Bonus time for free for up to 6 nights at time, reserved up to two weeks out. For example, today when I called I could get into any resort but this is early May, when kids are in school. Obviously it would be much more difficult over Spring Break, x mas, summer etc. Their are 13 SL resorts in places like Branson, Orlando, Canyon Lake, Georgia, East Tx, here is the complete list.

If you joined after 2006 you pay $50 for weekend nights. So today, I could book in Orlando or Canyon Lake for a week for free. ****, I had forgotten about this benefit, thanks for making me do the research.
So find me a SL Piney Shores that is week 23-34 and has a deed prior to 2006 that qualifies for the Endless Escapes. Also, I am a ticket broker and bot 144 tix in the New Kyle Field, 12 sections with max 12 tix and I have 20 parking passes all H lot or better. Once we all decide on a fair, apples to apples price, I will throw in 4 tix of your choice and parking pass to a game this fall.
Also, I have the 2013 and 2015 week banked with RCI(resorts all over the world and where I have traded for Vail, Breck, park city, pagosa, etc) and I will try to look over the weekend to see what is avail in CO or UT in a trade, summer months only, I don't have the trading power to get winter in those locations.
Anyway, find me a value. Gigem
Since this entire post reads like a condescending diatribe, let me explain what most of the rest of those on this thread are trying to explain to you......that even a caveman, Texags poster, or idiot that fell for a sales scam can understand.
We get that going to Lake Conroe in February isn't very desirable or not as desirable as going during Spring Break or the summer. That said, even staying in the luxurious 2 bedroom upscale condominums of Piney Shores for a whole week during Spring Break, June, whenever the f-ck it is warm outside you're sharing a property with a bunch of uneducated goofs who fell for the same scam that you did.
Most of those on this board have 0 desire to "vacation" next to a bunch of overweight, Budweiser crushing, sleeveless No Fear shirt & jort wearing bumpkins along with their 5 mullet sporting, Croc wearing children on "vacation." That doesn't sound like something that any of us would want to do for free, much less pay damn near 4k for. Comprende?
We all get you can trade and barter some of this sh-t to people, but you have to find a willing taker, which honestly seems like a huge pain in the ass to begin with. So like 99% of the rest of the people on this thread, I'll continue to take my vacations wherever and whenever the f I want without having to worry about planning around specific months or being limited to wherever some damn company owns specific properties.
