agyemang has been effective when the ball actually plays into him and players are supporting underneat... this ref has not done him any favors, but if he isnt gonna adjust we need to just sub him out and alter the sort of balls we are playing up front. less targeted at him and more into channels for him to run into and body defenders off the ball

I can tell you he's not been in effective at all. He has not beaten his opponent once for a 50/50. In fact, he's making 50/50 balls look like no chancers.

Agreed, I think his soccer brain is still a little slow (no guaruntee it gets better, but it does often take strikers a little longer)

He did generate our best chances, and the goal, by actually drawing fouls in the attacking 3rd.
This ref isnt doing him any favors, but as players you have to adjust to it.
I would have subbed him out at half, and deifnitely aleady by the 65th minute because you are right. Hes not getting onto the ball, not really pressuring, not really making runs they have to respect.
Thats why we have 5 subs now

This, guy played small college soccer and has had a meteoric rise ahead of his learning curve. The physical tools are there. Dude is strong

He has to step in there and control it, and absorb contact or a foul. Not try a light touch because you are afraid a dude half your size is coming in.
