I love Coinstar hunting. I have scored silver dimes, quarters and a walking liberty at HEB. Anyone ever find gold?

Tons of foreign junk change for me, but my 4 and 2yo boys think that they are cool. Only thing "valuable" I've found has been a mercury dime, a bunch of copper wheat pennies, and I found a steel wheat penny the other day, so that was neat!

GSR is tightening. I'm thinking they're losing ability to manipulate.

As someone who lived through the bubble 15 years ago, do not forget to take some profit based on what makes sense from you. If you physically go into the store, you'll also get a barometer as to the "bubble" mentality.

You'll know it when there is a line of buyers and not many sellers

Everything I'm hearing is that retail is something like 65% sellers to 35% buyers.

Profit with what, fiat currency? This is not the reason we stack. If I wanted fiat profit, my stack money would have been in the market.

I was going to buy some silver stuff from Costco after Christmas, but they quit selling online about a week ago.

If gold gets any higher? How much more likley will we see silver Aggie rings in the future. When I graduated I thought, why not get a silver ring since they were so cheap back then.

My only silver prediction is up and to the right, with increased volatility. Gold to a lesser extent. Silver's resting place will be in multiple hundreds per ounce, but that will take years.

Here's the "One Chart to Rule Them All"

From Dan Oliver at Myrmikan Research, it shows two important truths:

1) The dollar is becoming "worth less" every year and every decade since the Federal Reserve was created;
2) We have broken a very significant trendline recently (bottom right of the chart).

TLDR: Everything is getting more expensive in dollar terms and cheaper in gold & silver terms.

And only a relative few have noticed.

A recent graduate told me new Aggie rings are over 1,900 now for the 10k men's. I can't imagine a silver Aggie ring.
old 10k high school rings should be valuable for scrap gold.

I wish they still had the 10 ounce silver bars at the stores. Very convenient when shopping there.
'They also sold one ounce gold bars previously in stores.

It would be interesting if the banks have been selling silver they didn't actually own. But we know they would never do that.

TD Precious Metals has suspended silver sales on its website. You can purchase Au, but no Ag

Apmex has 8 dollars premium. How does that rank in competitiveness? It's insane to see a silver eagle listed for 77 dollars.

APMEX is usually great on availability and quick shipping but higher on premium.

Dillon Gage has been paying spot, usually slightly over....but only for larger transactions...$30,000 plus or so.

FIFY. You do you. There are a few reasons to invest in silver.

If silver goes sideways or even retraces some of its gains while gold plays catchup for a while, the dent in the gold/silver ratio would actually project to yet another major rally in silver early next year.

That definitely would be large enough….i just haven't ever sold them silver. Definitely worth calling them….very formal process.
