Coin dealers at the Bryan gun show yesterday said they expect silver to hit 60 by the end of the year and triple digits by sometime in 2026. The smelter(s) in Houston are only buying .999% to avoid refining. Huge backlog.

I have a small stack, maybe a thousand in face value, of constitutional 90% and some 40%. It kinda makes me sick to my stomach to hear smelters are backlogged. When dealers can't unload their 90% at a reasonable OTC price, they sell it to smelters. All of that history hitting the flames and being erased.

Ugh...

Someone in the future will write a sequel to The Big Silver Melt (1983) after this blows over. A local coin dealer told me Saturday he is selling 90% at face and, if they are a good customer, somewhat below. Another in a nearby town said many aren't buying 90% at all due to being out of cash.

I made my regular DCA in .999 last week. APMEX had a nice deal going on 40% "proof" Ike dollars so I picked up 20 to throw in the stack. They were actually cheaper than BU and average circulation. I'm one of those weirdos that still loves the big coins; Morgans, Peace, and Ikes. The elderly folks in my neighborhood used to pay me in clad Ikes and Kennedys for mowing their lawn. A bit of nostalgia around those coins...for me.

I would be honored to buy some of your Morgans someday. For the Franklins, how good of a discount can you give me?

The 40% proof Ike's were $15.79 per coin. It was a pre-order scheduled for 17 October because they didn't have any in stock.

The average circulated were $17.59 per coin.

I was like...what the hell...I can wait a week.

It was a pretty good buy. At the time of purchase, I had to check my math to make sure I was understanding the entire picture. I got 40% proof Ikes at $0.34 over silver spot. That sale ran for almost a week before the price went up. I thought it was a misprint but, they sold it to me.

It feels so weird to see silver for $54+ and gold for $4200+. Most of my time stacking silver has been in the basement, and I hoped to see these prices one day. It definitely feels awesome, but it's weird that we are here.

Paper PM market doesn't give a hoot about supply and demand...until they do. Truthfully, it's just another casino. The people running the house let this get out of control. They deserved this kick in the plums.

Out of 80% of SLV shares. Rest are ride or die hoping for the squeeze to continue.

What's your SLV outlook and holdings at this point? I have January $48 and $50 calls, and $35 puts (insurance). Have an order in to liquidate 1/3 of $48 calls today if it blips up another 1% or so. I'm kinda neutral overall, but happy with the nice gains on the calls.

Im feeling concerned. Not so much at seeing them cross these numbers, but at the pace it's happening. Anyone who's been stacking since shutdown:rates tanking, has been preaching this. I don't know what to make of it.

I preached gold to family member at the start of the year, and they essentially went all in. They're ecstatic, but I said the same thing. As excited as you may feel, you should start getting a bit worried about the future. Not claiming dooms day, but a $100 bill won't mean much in our lifetime.

Way higher than my original goal of $42, which is why I've been slowly reducing my share positions. More will be gone at $50 if we get there. And if we get a decent looking retracement that holds between $40 and $45, I might buy back a BUNCH with a tight stop looking between $54 and $60.

I'm done with calls unless I see a very high probability setup. Not using protective puts anymore, as I've reduced my share count enough that I don't have much to protect.
