Why are you at a draft party in New York for a player you last coached over 3 years ago instead of supporting one on your current roster or out recruiting when you have 7 roster spots to fill

The second one was my argument.

Sometimes players want to go where they are the missing piece. This staff has no idea on how to use talent. They have squandered so many kids eligibility. Texas Tech brought in a point guard which I haven't seen here. You are dead in the water without a good pg just like last year. Houston has a new coach. He was at Kentucky a few years ago before he left for personal reasons.

Seems wild to me, the first player of your Aggie tenure to get drafted. She suffered a gruesome season ending injury trying to carry this team to any meaningful level because you failed to surround her with talent and ran off her other valuable teammates. This is the best moment of her career to this point, potentially being drafted to the WNBA and as a coach you're not there by her side… now I know why 14 girls have left the portal in her 3 years here. Just cause one girl you coached in 2022 had a higher chance of being drafted, doesn't mean you betray your own player on her night. Speaks to me like a coach who's in it more for herself than her own players… I've been vocal about Joni in the past but this sets a new low

And you're right on this, I'm just looking at records and not giving coaches the benefit of the doubt, some coaches are trying my to upgrade their roster any coach with a plan and vision is an upgrade for our girls

I'll see a new post on the thread, and think "Finally! We have a commit!"

Then I scroll to the end to find that we've added no one... And half the time someone is posting a commit to another school.

This is excruciating.

Maybe we are in for 5 or 6 surprises? I'm not convinced the 2 freshman make it to campus at this point and you have to imagine that if they do they won't be playing (or shouldn't be). That means we currently have an "experienced" roster of, hold on tight now, 6.

What is so confusing to me is we see all other programs doing well. (Soccer results tbd, but as poorly as the last few seasons have gone, we are seeing recruits and a social media presence). Bucky has come in and recruited the highest rated recruit that has ever stepped foot on A&M campus for men's basketball. What is going on in the women's program? Only God knows. I don't even think Joni knows at this point.

I wouldn't want Joni coaching them even if they could. She'd destroy their career
